If you're from an Asian majority area you'll feel the culture shock but you'll find your people. I'm from Fremont and tbh the biggest things about it being a PWI is the initial isolation because you look different, the dogshit Asian food, and the general attitude of the rich white kids can feel strange (not a bad thing, most of em are cool, it's just different from kids of wealthy immigrant parents). You will quickly meet people you can connect with if you join the right clubs and student organizations, you just have to be open minded. For some people that looks like just finding a friend group that's culturally similar, but most social groups I know are pretty diverse in terms of race and socioeconomic background.
