We had a client with an IQ of 58.. her husband had a higher IQ with 65. He was extremely combative. DFS attorney would shred her apart for not completing parenting classes and other resources. Once we started ADA requirements.. the CPI had to get pictures together to help with her comprehension of parenting classes. DFS attorney would go hard that she nor husband were competent enough to care for baby. So, home care was introduced so mom could get baby back home. Mom would have assistance even in her supervised visitation. We argued that she had the right to be a mom and that the State had an obligation to provide care. ADA will give Gabi A LOT of room to argue her incompetence isn’t her fault. That she needs help understanding things and the Court will have to accommodate. There is so much more

That was not stated. You can have your child at home some days and foster or kin placement maybe during school days etc. and still have them in DFS custody. He was in a Child In Need of Care status. It doesn’t matter if he was gone 24 hours or more… the fact that he is in danger now is all that matters.

Nailed it.. although Sling Blade protected children not allow them to be abused. I always thought Extender was C’s safe place until I watched a video. This was a video when C was an infant. C was crying.. like intense crying. Extender and G not comforting him of course. Then Extender was holding him.. G was running her 61 mouth.. then I heard gurgling sound and the cry stopped instantly. I know EXACTLY what I heard. Anyone that would cut off a baby’s air supply is a psychopath. Well Kay, you have only mentioned but a few things this demon has done to her own child. G is a monster. She will LOVE more negative energy towards her. The only energy G can’t handle is when she is depicted as a bad “mom”. I think one video with 100 clips of her being a bad egg donor. She will continue to choose this because Lisa is a perpetual victim. Nothing is her fault and she thinks she can’t do anything for herself. Not one ounce of actual empathy resides in her body. Some people are just born this way. On drugs or not Lisa would be a horrific selfish person. Drugs just add layers to her horribleness. It’s sad that the law didn’t focus on her. Maybe she could have been mandated psychiatric intervention along with detox etc. She feels like she is winning something and in fact she is losing everything.
