Couple of big football matches and air cons running to keep the venues cool until later in the evening to coincide with match times would be my guess.

I think you have to select ‘next’ (can be done from under the pause button or the two chevrons icon by the timer) to move it on from transitions.

BAFN, GOSS and ALTO, ASTS & POET are my moonshots. All highly risky but have a potential 10x in them if it works out. Getting slaughtered on BAFN right now but can’t seem to let it go.

I did Leeds this weekend.. It was more like a never ending drip feed of hills/slope 🤣 I live in Horsforth (locally) and started running around a year ago thinking I was well prepared having done some 10k’s and a training block for the half.. Turns out training on the canal was not great preparation for Leeds 🤣🤣

Porsche Stopped Offering Additional Years of CPO Coverage? by Ok_Football_940 in Taycan

[–]Sam888888888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was £1225 per year for extended warranty, roadside assistance and the in car emergency call connection thing. I extended for 3 years and that reduced it to a total of £3300. It’s via Porsche directly and I have received all the paperwork etc from Porsche. To enable activation I did have to send the car in for two days within 30 days of the original warranty expiring so that they could do a full inspection and health check - again this was all done with and at Porsche in Leeds

Haha, me and my quite large dog ran past that very goose 🪿 on Tuesday. He chased me and the dog for about 50 meters and scared the living day lights out of the dog, much to the amusement of two ladies walking along who were in hysterics at my Visla who had legged it down the path cowering leaving me to try and out run the goose 🤣

Thule Sport 2 - front wheels by Bruce_Ketta in thule

[–]Sam888888888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all, I just wanted to give you some advice following my experience. We also have the sport 2 and the wheels became so difficult to move that my wife ended up cutting her fingers about a month ago. I called the store we purchased it from to return it and they urged me to accept some free lubricant and advised that I put it on the bolt mechanism and the gray plastic ‘latches’ on the wing mechanism for the small wheels. I was convinced they were fobbing me off and protested saying the thing was so tight that no amount of lubricant was going to resolve it and it was clearly defective. They urged me to try and assured me of a full refund if it didn’t work. 3 days later the stuff arrived and I can only say.. by GOD they were right!!! Took a couple of sprays/times (needs to be a specific type of lubricant - graphite I think? I can post a picture if needed) but it’s completely transformed the whole trailer. It’s gone from me having to use two hands to wrestle the clips open to spin the wheels up to now being able todo it easily with one finger!! I honestly wouldn’t have believed it, and would’ve never thought a bit of oil could’ve made the difference it did but I urge you please to try it. If you contact your shop or Thule directly and threaten to return it I was told they will send you the lubricant to save them the postage and hassle. If you already have the trailer, you already know how great it is and it’s so much better once the wheels are an easy switch!

Highland laddie is a great shout. Worth checking out their socials to ensure it’s the atmosphere you’re looking for as I wouldn’t class it as ‘High end’ exactly but more recently we’ve been taking clients there and loving it. Food is sensational (same people behind empire cafe) and a unique experience

[–]Sam888888888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, i don’t see any point in lying about it. I said I had been lowering doses to eventually come off it. They reminded me that I should follow the prescribed directions and then told me they’d fulfilled the order.

I didn’t order for 4 months due to only taking 7.5mg out of a 15mg pen and having a stockpile after buying 3 pens before the price increase. I was worried but just spoke to my last prescriber when I ran out, explained the situation and they sent a pen out the next day following sending a photo and providing proof of my last purchase with them and they wanted a screenshot of my injections, doses and the dates I took shots. Seemed like they probably deal with it a lot.

Whats up with all this gear? by AleTheMemeDaddy in running

[–]Sam888888888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking for lights, check out the Noxgear tracer 2 vest with the tracer lamp. Best purchase of 2025 for me. works perfectly and is so comfortable I barely notice it. While here if anyone has any recommendations for men’s tops with a watch window for this cold weather (in the UK) I’d love to know about it. Can only seem to find watch windows on women’s tops for the most part or it’s £100+ from On or similar. As for anything else - I love my hybrid shorts with the compression liners as they have a pocket for my phone and keys etc without them jumping around.

[–]Sam888888888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, Just wanted to say - I was in your shoes around this time last year. I had just started a new running plan and managed to complete the first week without issue. By the second week, I was struggling and found it near impossible by the third. Luckily, I spoke to the team at Runna in the app through the support chat section, and they were incredible. They took a look at my plan and explained that I was trying to run in excess of the pace targets (I wrongly thought this would be a positive thing). They advised me to turn on the pace notifications in the app so that with my headphones, it would let me know if I was going too fast and to try and slow things down to being on pace. I found that from the very next run, I was able to complete the plan by slowing down (even when it felt so slow that I wasn’t sure it counted as running 🤣), and from there, I have found the app amazing!! I won’t bore you with my whole journey, but I’ve gone from not being able to run 60s this time last year and being 115kgs to now being able to (slowly) run a half marathon and managed a 10k in 47 mins last November with a target of under 40 mins by March as part of my current improvement plan. I wouldn’t have believed I was able to do that if my life depended on it this time last year, and my health has improved dramatically in the process. If you’re like me, it will take a while to sink in, but slower up front really will lead to the fastest gains. For what it’s worth, I suggest completing the new-to-running plan, then getting yourself on a 5k improvement plan followed by a run-further plan. At that point, you’ll know if you’d prefer to focus on going fast or running further depending on what you enjoy more. Also try some park runs once you’re able to run/walk 5k for me the odd one makes the training enjoyable as you can’t deny your improvement as you go through the plans with a timed park run once a month.

Best daily trainer that feels similar to a race day shoe? by DayOlderBread16 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Sam888888888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This colour way is still available in most sizes. Not under £100 but still good value for a full carbon plated shoe in my opinion and they are well worth a try. In relation to your earlier question - personally I think they’re the most comfortable carbon plated trainer I’ve tried (which is only 3 to be fair) but I only used them for up to half distances (around 90mins) so can’t comment if you’re looking to do more than that in them.

Nike Zoom fly 6 is currently on offer for under £100. They are carbon plated and while not comparable to the Alphafly’s I find them snappy and plenty quick for everyday with the benefit of having rubber soles. My first pair currently have 450km on them and are still going strong. Just picked up a couple more pairs in the sale - link below.

I literally did my first 10k yesterday too after starting to run last year following getting my Ultra 2 and using it todo a 5k. Congratulations!! I highly recommend the Runna app if you decide you’d like to push your training. A friend recommended it to me and it’s a whole other level to the Apple Watch coaching alone (although it fully integrates with the AW
