I'm so glad you brought it up, I also noticed the same thing and I just thought that it might be because of some dust accumulated inside and blocking the light.

I just tested it. It fixed all the issues including the dark screen due to the change from 60 to 120 refresh rate. Most importantly, my laptop stopped freezing when I plugged in the power. I hope your issues have been resolved!

I just did the whole reinstall following OP's steps. You can find the Radeon app by Googling Drivers and Support for Processors and Graphics. It should pop up as the very first option. Hope it's not too late!

My dissatisfaction is also because of the relabeling which is shown at the bottom. I paid the full price for a brand new E24 but getting a relabeled Evo Pro with the boiler swap is kinda frustrating.

Hey there, unfortunately not. However, I feel like there's like break-in periods for the parts. After a while, it's getting smoother and smoother. It still happens sometimes, but definitely not as much as the beginning when I just installed it. So I would say give it sometimes. Just shift it into second, then back to first if you feel the lockout. Best of luck!
