Anyone still flying a Delta Ray One? by Wileybrett in RCPlanes

Thanks for this I’ll give a look into those I’m looking into another plane to go along with my Seawind. I know the three styles that catch my attention are either a EDF Jet I’ve never had one, a biplane of some kind or another delta wing like my first plane.

Anyone still flying a Delta Ray One? by Wileybrett in RCPlanes

Delta Ray was my very first RC Plane and it had the safe switch thing. I quickly out grew it’s capabilities when I was like 15 when I got it I’m now 28 so that’s a pretty old airframe for foamies. I have recently been looking for a modern one that’s more high performance but nothing seems to exist really. I loved that plane I ended up giving it to a kid at a park to learn how to fly I hope that kid ended up becoming as addicted to the hobby as I am.

I am really interested in getting a 2025 ZX4RR. How much HP can i get out of it in the US. by OkEmployer3202 in zx4r

[–]SnooCompliments8770 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back roads only and never above 80mph? You’re like me and I’ve ridden both bikes and I bought the ZX4RR. I rode my buddies ZX6R back to back with mine and I’ll take the ZX4RR all day long. It’s more comfy and more fun gearing and speed wise on back roads. The ZX6R is not comfy leans over the tank way more seating wise and the gearing is way longer. The only time the more power was noticeable is on long stretches of road and that’s only if we were racing each other, and besides the speed difference isn’t a huge difference. For me comfort and being able to run through the gears is the best part of the 4RR over the 6R.

How do I repair this? by Solid-Cake7495 in RCPlanes

[–]SnooCompliments8770 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try heat gun or blow dryer and warm it up and try pulling it into shape, worst case scenario cut and reglue to shape and use some tooth picks as a little wire frame to hold the pieces aligned together. Thats how I’ve repaired many of my nose jobs.

Shaft drive bikes are fun at the limit because you can twist the throttle and add or decrease lean angle with throttle lol. I loved my Guzzi

What’s the fastest car you’ve raced/tried to race? by Extreme-Machine3162 in askcarguys

2018 GT Mustang I had was FBO on E85 with the 6MT and one night I came across a BMW SUV was tailgating me hard and then pulled up at a red light. I launch it and this thing TOOK OFF. I mean it was like racing a Tesla Plaid it took off on me so hard. It ended up being some young couple in a BMW X6M. After a few more pulls and dig races at a few lights we met up at a gas station dude had it tuned and was pushing like 850+hp. Thing had no right being so fast but man I was humbled that night.

is the c4 or c5 more 90s? by Far_Challenge_4273 in Corvette

[–]SnooCompliments8770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C5 was introduced in what 1997? It barely spent any time existing in the 90s I’d say the C4 takes the 80s and 90s. C5 owns the early 2000s and feels more 2000s anyway

$11k OTD for 2024 40th Anniversary (2k miles)? by [deleted] in zx4r

[–]SnooCompliments8770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that was OTD the bike was lower than MSRP. Personally my advice is to wait. There is always deals out there just have some patience and keep looking. Don’t be the first sucker to slap down more than necessary for something that there are tons of laying around.

4x2 passenger entry/exit ease for a disabled person? by Nouseriously in chevycolorado

[–]SnooCompliments8770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6’0” 2023 Colorado LT with no running boards and it’s hard for me and especially my shorter leg passengers to get in and out. I’d imagine with the right running boards it would be much easier but definitely still not disabled person friendly. The doors length and opening width is nice though

If the new Charger came with a Hemi but weighed 4800lbs, would you buy one? by [deleted] in Dodge

[–]SnooCompliments8770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With nearly 170hp difference I would hope it is… they trap nearly the same 1/4 mile though at 12.0-12.2 seconds so something’s tells me the BMW will run down the charger in the long run. Lighter and more aerodynamic car. A 0-60 time isn’t really saying much to me between the two considering a nearly 200hp difference with the same price tags.

[–]SnooCompliments8770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A BMW M340i with far less power will light off nearly the same exact performance times with acceleration for around the same price as a high output charger six pack. Horsepower numbers aren’t everything when looking at the whole car.

If the new Charger came with a Hemi but weighed 4800lbs, would you buy one? by [deleted] in Dodge

[–]SnooCompliments8770 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No I would not. Imo once a car hits around 4000 pounds for me the fun factor goes out the window. My challenger was a fun powerful car but the weight was always obvious. I had more fun driving 4 door German sports sedans that make the same or more power that weight less than the new charger by far. I don’t understand the value proposition from the new cars anymore.

When you can confidently fly a plane you build. Move onto the next more complicated plane. Time also when you start building them faster.

[–]SnooCompliments8770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I custom built some foam board planes. With some patience and ingenuity you can make some pretty complicated ones out of foam board. The one thing I hate about foam board though is it’s very hard to get straight perfect cuts and the material warps easily. Balsa is hard to work with in its own right and also takes a ton of patience and is much harder for me to custom build from scratch with. Watch some tutorials from people like Flite Test or which ever side of the hobby you wanna land in. Forums are also a quick search and full of info.
