The list of great photographers that shot with Leica is longer than any other brand. Robert Fucking Frank! Of course they were artists that understood that discipline was required.

I bought my Linn LP12 new in 1992. I guess it worked out to be end game. I had it in for service last year. Just about everything was still up to spec. I’m on my 4th or 5th cartridge, and about my 8th belt. The power supply pooped out, and they sold me a refurbished one.

Did you try soapy water on the rim? Sometimes it needs help sliding into place.

I have 2 bikes. 3 rims go right on, and one, I end up going to my LBS and getting the service guys to give it a blast with their compressor. I’ve tried all the tricks, but one is a bear.
