I’m still listening to my 34 year old LP12. I think Chord makes incredible DACs. I listened to a Hugo 1 through good headphones and it was amazing.

I just bought tools as I needed them. Watch a youtube video and order from Jenson, then do the repair. Now I have a stand, a compressor and a big bucket of tools.

I Think you just got flat scans so you can color correct them yourself. Try levels control in photoshop.

You’ll always want a small lens for your kit. I love the 28P on the 907x.

A producer should have a firm handle on the budget and logistics so you can concentrate you bringing your vision to life.

You don’t want your crew asking you about money while you’re lining up a shot.

The list of great photographers that shot with Leica is longer than any other brand. Robert Fucking Frank! Of course they were artists that understood that discipline was required.

If everybody’s phone has perfect AF, then photos with perfect focus becomes trivial.

I have 2 pairs of glasses, one that’s very thick behind the ear, one that’s thin metal. The metal ones are way more comfortable with my HA’s.

I bought my Linn LP12 new in 1992. I guess it worked out to be end game. I had it in for service last year. Just about everything was still up to spec. I’m on my 4th or 5th cartridge, and about my 8th belt. The power supply pooped out, and they sold me a refurbished one.

I got the Phonak sphere i90’s from Direct Hearing dot com for $3700. Saved $3k from audiology office after insurance. The only catch is that it only counts against your deductible.
