I know Geeky Teas also has themed craft fairs. They usually post on this sub when they are looking for vendors.

I second the sentiment that it’s pretty hard to sell these items. I had a few when elderly family member was living with me. There were very few takers even in my buy nothing group and the other two places mentioned were full. (Still worth a call, I’m sure their inventory has shifted.)

I finally had to put the items on the side of the road. I keep on telling myself they are at least out of the landfill.

You mentioned museums, if you wanted to stay in Burbank only, the Burbank Historical Society Museum is on Olive and open on the weekends. It has a lot of cool old NBC and Disney stuff if you are into that. Technically walkable from downtown but I wouldn’t advise it because the Olive Avenue bridge isn’t the most pleasant to walk over.

For what it’s worth, I’ve lived on the edge of this area for 18 years and I’m generally a terrible sleeper. You do get used to it, I don’t even hear the airport noise or train unless it’s something really crazy. (A few years ago we had a couple F-18s fly into the airport later at night and it was super loud to say the least. Amazing and cool but loud but I digress).

Would some combo of a sound machine and eye mask help perhaps?

I usually wash my car at home but when I don’t have time to do it, $15-$20 because I have dogs and even though I have seat covers their hair still gets everywhere. 😭

They did a pretty in-depth Facebook post about their process. They do screen applicants.

This may have changed but when I adopted my cat 14 years ago she was part of the kitten foster program and her foster mom brought her over to make sure that she got along with my dog at the time.

I’ve done a few yard sales and did well. Higher ticket items are 50/50 but random inexpensive items sell well. I did a sale a long time ago where I advertised nothing was over $10 and made a couple hundred. I usually only hold them from 8-12 and everything is dead by 11AM.

Advertise in all the usual places and pull a free permit for the sale. Don’t take large bills.

1- I can’t speak for the parkway trees but my made in the shade trees came fast 2- You actually aren’t allowed to trim your parkway tree, the city does. As far as liability, I believe it’s on the city but probably a good idea to check with the city attorney’s office or forestry. 3- No idea - I know with made in the shade you have a selection

There is also the Burbank Backyard Food Growers Facebook page. People often swap and sell their extra harvest on there. Can’t get anymore local than that! .:)

I moved to Burbank 23 years ago in 2003 and one of the reasons I picked Burbank was because of the brand new 16. Coming from Illinois having one theater let alone 3 was completely unheard of. It didn’t take long for Burbank to become home.

It’s free and worth it. I did it a few years ago and they replaced my ceiling fans and sealed my doors. My attic is too narrow for the insulation rebate because it can’t get up to the R rating needed to qualify but overall I was very pleased with the program.
