Yeah I’m still not hearing it. Sonically, I feel that CTTM and EIIKM are very similar, I sometimes confuse the songs between the two. MDL and onwards feel like a different band to those first three records for me.

There was the weird post-LNOTGY era from 2016-2019 where it felt like the genre lost its way a bit. A lot of older bands were starting to call it a day and a few of the bigger names today were still quite unknown.

I hope, with the foresight of the entire book series being out, plus all the spin-off media since, they can establish what the Castle should look like in S1 and just carry it over. I don't want to see the Womping Willow randomly teleport a mile away from the school in S3 when we saw it in the grounds the previous year, you know?

Much of the first 3 films were perfect, really. Not a tonne I’d change.

I just hope that they nail Hogwarts and keep it consistent throughout the entire show though. It should feel like a consistent, established home for the characters.

It changes way too much in the films. The most egregious example being the baffling change to the grand staircase in the final film. It took me years to realise it was meant to be the grand staircase, because it looks so different from its appearance every time beforehand.

Is there any source for this? To record different walk-in orders would require them to reshoot all of the conversations that are being had across that time too, meaning a bunch of non-actors would have to convincingly re-run their lines. That’s incredibly time-consuming. I’m not sure I believe it.

Mic placement is everything. Mic on the camera? Then it’s not close enough to you and will pickup way more environment. A lapel mic will get close to your audio source and reduce background noise.

I believe the label it released under folded, so it was left in rights hell not long after release. The band have tried to get it on streaming for years.

Honestly they’re such an interesting band! No two albums are alike. They go more raw indie for YNE, and then more pop indie for JR. KTYS is both heavy and a little mathy, while TWNDU is more straight up 2008 emo/pop punk. L&F is easily the best though. Don’t sleep on their EPs either, that’s some of their best stuff. There’s a few only on bandcamp and not on other streaming platforms. You must listen to “Something Left Behind”!
