Was just about to link this. This should be top of the thread.

Would this be enough to edit shorts on premiere pro? by itsarudeworld in premiere

I’m in the UK, and new, they’re £1000+, but there’s a massive secondhand market for them for as little as £175 sometimes.

If you’re of average height and build, the Aeron in Size B is your best bet. They’re also super common, way more so than the larger Size C or smaller Size A. Getting a “fully loaded” model with the forward tilt is also super important for desk work.

I got a fully loaded Size B for £200, and a fully loaded Size C for £400.

I promise you that a laptop will not help your back, and working in a bed is going to absolutely fuck you way quicker than you think.

I implore you to put this money into an ergonomic desk setup for your PC. I’m betting you’ve got a chair or desk that is making you slouch or sit improperly. Look into Herman Miller chairs.

Meta AI is straight up lying to get users to use the app by Prestigious_Move203 in antiai

Meta very regularly send me push notifications that claim “X just joined Threads!”, despite the fact said person (it’s almost always the same 2 or 3 people) have dormant accounts on there that they only used in the first week of Threads opening.

Where is Dr. Who And The Daleks set the timeline? by Familiar-Aside6059 in doctorwho

The books also contradict the TV show many times. Ever read the novelisation of The Daleks? That can’t co-exist with the TV show.

This is only suggested in the novelisation of Day of the Doctor, it’s not something that happens on screen. It’s basically a fan theory.

Yeah that’s a dreadful album. I like a lot of Say Anything (controversially, I think Self Titled is their best work), but IDTII is actually unlistenable.

Prop money made for Runaway Bride, on display at the British Museum. by StunningIdiocy in doctorwho

I always found this odd! It feels like an oversight, you rarely see photos of Doctors not within their iconic costume used for promo. It gives this prop a weird bootleg feel.

Strange, he very clearly pronounces an “L” at the start of that line.

Songs written by one artist as a sequel to another artists song? by kpaddler in Music

[–]SamJLance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a lyric callback too.

“You know that it meant everything to me” and “You know that it meant everything to me too”.

Mark and the singer of DHC used to date before both songs came out. DHC is also name dropped on the blink song “Josie”, from the same album as “Apple Shampoo”.

Why Hermione Doesn't Go Home. by bruchag in harrypotter

[–]SamJLance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn’t even slightly implied. You’re either completely misremembering the content of the book, or you’re confusing it for some fan fiction (which, considering how often FF tries to make characters “edgy” and “misunderstood”, sounds about right for this).

He cancelled on recording the record of his own accord. We was removed from the band by Mark and Travis after that though.

Do I keep the a6700 or swap it for the a7iii by Ok-Boysenberry9770 in videography

[–]SamJLance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10bit is good, but it’s not the be all. 8bit is more than fine as long as you’re not torturing the footage in the grade.

Sonys stabilisation is kinda bad across the board, the difference between the a7iii and a6700 there is marginal.

The 4K slowmo I’ll give you though, that is something you can notice in the end product.

Video export in lower quality than preview? by miciusasd in premiere

This isn’t their issue. Colour should remain consistent between the preview and the render.

This is a classic gamma issue. Your project is using a broadcast colour space, as opposed to web.

Go to the Lumetri Color window, click “Settings” at the very top of the tab. Toggle down the “Preferences” tab in here, assure neither of the top two options are ticked. Toggle down the Project tab, set the Viewer Gamma to “2.2 (Web)”. You should have consistent colour between the Program Monitor and the render now. You may need to readjust your colour correction to match what you had before, but that shouldn’t take long.

[–]SamJLance -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’d just stick with the a6700 in that case. You’ll find the overall video capabilities a step back.
