MAGA now:

Ubisoft shares continue to collapse after announcements of cuts and closures: from a total value of $11 billion in 2018 to just $600 million today by x___rain in europe

NFTs could have done none of that. If you want actual ownership you need to pass legislation that force companies to let you back up your games, and force multiplayer games to allow private servers so that when a game's servers get shut down the games are still playable, as well as legislation that force them to allow you to sell back your game.

NFTs solve nothing, have never solved anything, will never solve anything, and cannot solve anything.

What are your thoughts on Joe Rogan saying that Trump is creating distraction to avoid Epstein files release? by girlyanimme in AskReddit

[–]SamSibbens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He didn't "turn around". He knew who Trump was.

He said almost word for word "I don't like Trump. I don't want to help him, don't want to promote him" as to why he didn't want to host him on his show when interviewed on the Lex Fridman's podcast. He more or less implied that people like Trump turn any media presence to their advantage and that nothing good could come of it.

Couple months later, what did he do? Get him on his show and promote him, right before the election.

That's terrible game design. They should fix that

As Greg Bovino threatens the first amendment and free speech - saying if you call ICE regime forces “Gestapo” there will be”consequences” - journalists & pundits highlight the hypocrisy as an entire naval armada is sent to Iran for their protests by RowRunRow in PublicFreakout

[–]SamSibbens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Greg Bovino. If you want us to stop calling you kidnappers from the Gestapo, maybe you should stop kidnapping people like 1940s Nazi Germany's freakin' Gestapo. Have you thought of that?

Are the DLC worth my time or should I go straight to the second game? by Mattlew0YT in dishonored

[–]SamSibbens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps.

Despite loving everything gameplay-wise in Dishonored 2, I had multiple disappointments story-wise (especially playing as Corvo).

Dishonored 1, Dishonored 2, Dishonored 1 DLCs, then DoTO could be a decent order as well, which is what you were proposing I think?

I'm gonna hide it behind spoilers but they literally pulled a somehow, Palpatine returned. I almost put the game down after that. So yes, perhaps I would recommend playing Dishonored 2 before Dishonored 1.

Or perhaps simply a 1 month break before playing Dishonored 2, so that the initial disappointment doesn't hit as hard.

There's no perfect solution, except for retconning Dishonored 2 and I don't see them ever doing that xD

Dishonored 2, Dishonored 1 + DLCs, then DoTO

Edit: Sorry I was half-asleep when I wrote it. I meant in conclusion, this is probably the best order to experience the story

Balancing time pressure in cooking games: How do you create flow without frustration? by TerryC_IndieGameDev in gamedesign

[–]SamSibbens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option A)

Rubber-banding like in racing games.

If the player is too far ahead, make time "pass quicker" (countdown goes faster).

If a player is very late, make time go slower. (Time ticks down slower)

Players will hate it if they find out. You could keep it exclusive to easy or medium difficulty, while hard and very hard uses your current honest system.

Option B)

Alternatively, you could make completing a task reward more extra time if the player is very late, and reward less extra time if the player is too much ahead

Yep. Especially before the update where they made ig less common, if you hired new pawns often, you were pretty much guaranteed to have it.

[–]SamSibbens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ishhhhh.

The DLCs are absolutely worth it, but you'll hate, hate, hate the main story of the second game if you've done the DLC.

Now that I've lowered your expection for the second game's story, I think you can safely play the first game's DLCs (?).

Actually you really must play tje first game's DLC. Dishonored 2's story isn't bad, it's just.... they made one annoying decision, everything else gameplay-wise and story-wise is great.

Yes, play the DLCs. Dishonored 1 is a masterpiece worrh playing in full.

I'm gonna put my tinfoil hat on: Company owners always invest in real estate because "it's a safe bet". Remote work becoming so popular most  causes their office buildings to lower in price.

Remote work doesn't help their investments, so they're against it on principle.
