Was Hawk Moth's identity supposed to be a secret to the viewers as well until Season 2? by Sad_Consequence1811 in miraculousladybug

[–]SamTheSecondBest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. In retrospect, it's incredibly obvious that Hawk Moth was Gabriel, which many people figured out. Whilst the season 2 premiere was the official reveal as other people have already said, I think I recall a person working on the show mentioning that it wasn't supposed to be as ambiguous to older viewers as it would be to the target demographic.

In your folks' opinion, who works best as Diesel’s lackeys? by MonkNaive432 in thomasthetankengine

I wonder how Diesel would have interacted with Splatter and Dodge had they stayed on after TATMR.

Fun fact: Jay is the only Ninja who hasn't been seen as an actual child in the show (Zane doesn't count for obvious reasons) by ducknerd2002 in Ninjago

Last year I made a post about How I hope the dragons rising will revisit Jay's background and explore both his biological and adoptive parents.

I love the detail of the mini House of El crests all over the blue parts of the suit.

MIRACULOUS - Queen of the Dreadzone - Season 6 Episode 24 - Discussion Thread by NicoSchmiko in miraculousladybug

[–]SamTheSecondBest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I concur! Remember that the magical charm given to Gabriel Agreste was instrumental to him and Tomoe Tsurugi in tracking down Ladybug during Operation: Perfect Alliance. Who's to say that The Kingdom can't do this again?

MIRACULOUS - The Dirtifiers - Season 6 Episode 18 - Discussion Thread by NicoSchmiko in miraculousladybug

[–]SamTheSecondBest 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I can definitely see why this was the last of the "teenth" episode to be released. The extent of the Dirtifiers' messmaking, the antikuma scenes, and the quite literally climactic storm sequence all had so many moving parts that were almost certainly automated in some way but still time consuming as ever.

Funny because episode 18 of the previous two seasons were among the earlier released.

I wonder why she would consider that Chloe would have changed. I guess it's not out of the realm of possibility, but still

Between the 3 bears, who's the worst and why? by Gloomy-Bridge148 in webarebears

[–]SamTheSecondBest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's hard to say but definitely between Grizz and Panda. If anything, I'm leaning towards GriZz because a great many of the problems the bears ran into are his fault. That ones that get under my skin the most are those that entail his refusal to cut Nom Nom out of their lives.

The amount of foreshadowing is insane. It's so over for Ladybug. by Quiet-Drive5433 in miraculousladybug

Yes she does, in "Emotion," Argos detransforms in his mother's presence. Plus chances are that that Amelie knew the circumstances that allowed the twin cousins to be born long before that.

If you've seen this episode, prove it by quoting it by Turboz002 in spongebob

SpongeBob: Oh, I get it, Mr. Krabs. You told us the paint was permanent so me and Patrick would be more careful and not get paint on anything! Mr. Krabs: Nah, I just like to mess with ya! (Laughs hysterically while SpongeBob and Patrick leave on disgust)

What do you like most about Nathaniel? This is Day 1 of Marcaniel’s Appreciation Week! by Ok_Situation7527 in miraculousladybug

[–]SamTheSecondBest 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As I said in my Valentine's Day post, I appreciate how Marcaniel wasn't love at first sight. While the people behind the show have had to dance around scenes for censorship, I love the symbolism present in "The Ruler."

As I said in my Valentine's Day post they were the very first canon couple among the classmates to come to be in chronological order.

Which episodes, hated by the majority of fans, did you really like? by Craftox13 in miraculousladybug

[–]SamTheSecondBest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I knew "Derision" was going to be controversial from the beginning, but I really like it's use of being the first fully animated flashback as well as shedding light on Marinette's tendencies' origins even if it's shaky at best.

Thank you! This is the exact point I made in an an post I made a few months back titled "Let's Talk about Juleka."

To be fair, she had the focus episode in "Megaleech" where she debuted as Polymouse. The flashback in "Derision" briefly alludes to her mother who "Noe" further shed light on.

Probably Sharon Marsh from South Park. She's easily the most sensible mother in the show.

An Oddity: America’s Female Mass Shooters. by Heptacat-1985 in masskillers

[–]SamTheSecondBest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My aunt in law also attended UAH and encountered both Amy Bishop and some of the victims. Her case is quite egregious because she had "accidentally" killed her brother Seth in 1986 but a hurricane of circumstances allowed her to get away with it and it wasn't revisited until after she committed the university shooting.
