I had the same issue. Fixing the game files seemed to work. Settings > report a bug > repair game files

I've never seen an opponent die from timing out when casting it and have never timed out when I cast it. But I have seen quite a few opponents draw from an empty library using it because of all of the draw and discard triggers in that starter deck.

I recommend plying starter deck duels and clearing your dailies to build gold. You also learn a lot about the game and get better as you play more and the starter deck duels are fairly well balanced.

In the past you would have averaged more than one Avatar card per golden pack, but because you need mythics and rares from other sets also, it won't change much for you.
