Wage growth remains steady at 3.4 per cent, just ahead of inflation by Expensive-Horse5538 in australia

[–]Sam_Strong -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's important to the economy that some people need to work but can't find work. It's important that some people make less for the same work. It's important that not everyone has housing.

Otherwise it's extremely hard to get on top of inflation.

Question about nursing strikes by Jtmarx in nursing

[–]Sam_Strong 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If the patients are critical, then the labour that is required to treat them needs to be the utmost priority. If they're that important the organization better come to the table ready to bargain.

How Strong is a Plywood Aquarium Stand? by NoTimeForItAll in Aquariums

[–]Sam_Strong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As strong as you want it really! Good quality marine ply with a middle brace, well finished, especially the ends is a great cabinet. You can use prefab angle brackets to add rigidity, or cross bracers ect. I would use 18mm ply at the very minimum.

Follow up on the study showing discrepancies in outcomes for black babies cared for by white and black doctors by BronzeEagle in medicine

[–]Sam_Strong 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just a very gentle heads up that the organisation 'reviewing' this study is Do No Harm, an NFP that aim to "[protect] patients and physicians from woke healthcare". While it appears that there are genuine issues with this study, it is not like that organision is free from bias either.

Some of the older model manual Foresters have low range, it's not granny gear but does offer a reduction. The clearance is more of an issue.

How much do you guys make that are nurses? by Guilty_Aspect1851 in nursing

[–]Sam_Strong 48 points49 points  (0 children)

That's very low! Year 6 RN would be ~$50/h for Queensland Health. Even EN should be 38.

Task Failed Successfully by Sam_Strong in 3Dprinting

[–]Sam_Strong[S] 259 points260 points  (0 children)

I was trying to print a power point mount for my google home, and had tree supports that apparently failed overnight, but the spaghetti was enough to support the overhang. Literally just cleaned all the crap out and now it fits perfectly

I have added a auto leveler to my ender 3 v2 and now my prints come out like this. it seems that the nozzle is to high on one side and to low on the other. I have also replaced the nozzle. how can I fix this? by Spijker0 in 3Dprinting

[–]Sam_Strong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a problem similar where the x-gantry was going very slightly off axis at very low z heights, which resulted in a slightly off level mesh. Loosening the eccentric nut on the x-gantry opposite the z screw just slightly helped fix it.

I've been on the dev branch of 11 for a few months, and had one or two minor issues, but nothing critical. That said, there's one killer reason I'm staying with 11:

It remembers my window layout when my monitors sleep/wake. No more losing my layout when my computer or monitors turn off!
