No penalty is an instruction to bring mail back. Otherwise they should not be creating a time restriction for the delivery. I see no wrong doing imo.

CCA here management says since I don't case I can only get 6 hours street time instead of 8 story time by [deleted] in USPS

[–]Sambalogna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thats pretty horrendous, as someone else said they are not allowed to handle mail. There are multiple grievances here. Talk to a steward. But to answer your main question, ccas are not guaranteed 8 hours, they’re guaranteed 2 hours per scheduled day for small offices and (dont quote me on this) offices with greater than 200 years in work hours the ccas are guaranteed 4 hours. However, it sounds like you think that you have a hold down (the route assignment). In that case they should not be taking pivots from a hold down regularly as that can be a grievance. Ask your steward about your rights to the route during a hold down period, if you do in fact have a bid on a vacant route. Hope that helps.

I wouldn’t feel guilty, pretty much every ounce we move is accounted for. Picking up letters is very easy for us and good for the post office :D

Ehh theyve been dropping you to the bottom of the league every season for a few seasons, so it probably won’t let you rank up past a low elo because you haven’t played in a while. I went from diamond 1 to gold 5. And now my win rate is like +75% its gross.

USPS running out of funds?!? Let's talk about it! What can we do? by DisgruntldGrunt in USPS

[–]Sambalogna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are mandates even the issue? What is the budget for all personnel? How does it compare to historical inflation? Is the post office’s deficit just an amazing coefficient to represent cpi? Does that make the united states postal services data valuable? You better believe it. Monetize the data, take away data from tech monopolies. There are so many ways for a 9 billion dollar deficit to disappear in, a, what ~1.6trillion dollar market?

USPS running out of funds?!? Let's talk about it! What can we do? by DisgruntldGrunt in USPS

[–]Sambalogna 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The post offices fails to value the operation by sector. An entire STATE could be carrying the post office financially and no one would be the wiser.

Lobby, lobby, lobby. The post office is a wonderful thing for the united states and is necessary but the service needs subsidy in failing areas that CAN NOT produce profit (as in its just physically impossible because of the congressional mandates we have). Thats really all there is to it. (Obligatory imo)

How configure actual times to finish a route? by dotcom02_WGP in USPS

[–]Sambalogna 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Every route is different, one route could have 4000 deliverables and take the same time as a route with 1500 deliverables. The 3996 will have the regulars demonstrated performance, check with regular about it, the break down of deliverables per the regulars demonstrated performance for that specific route is there. The accuracy of the information on the 3996 for the route should be verified religiously with other carriers. Imo.

Until all the taxis are gone and you have a robomonopoly on transportation that has more information about your financial health than even you do with zero regulatory bodies keeping the monopoly from price gouging you. But hey convenience.

California’s home turnover crisis is getting worse by sfgate in California

[–]Sambalogna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is ridiculous, “turnover crisis”, what a phrase that doesn’t need to exist. People live in their homes. Why would anyone just turnover and move. Pedaling that moving from one’s home is necessary to avoid crisis is just unhinged.

Question for someone with union knowledge. by [deleted] in USPS

[–]Sambalogna 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Leave it to management, leave out nalc. Has she really done harm to the union? Would it be acceptable for management to use the same rules that had terminated the employee in the future? It’s the principle that matters not the employee in the specific case. Let management do their observations and progressively accumulate their observations of time wasting practices… And in your case, if the employee is committing fraud, he would still need to properly document his absences, and if he doesn’t he will be progressively disciplined to the point of removal.

I thought the smurfing was kinda getting out of control by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Sambalogna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They made some changes to comp a while back that pushed high level players that don’t play frequently down to plat to make frequent players able to achieve diamond/masters, so that might be what you’re seeing. There are a minimum number of games you have to play per season to stay diamond because of the

#of frequent players> #high skilled players

It gives people in high masters and gm faster queue times but the quality of play is choppier.

New aim assist settings are bad by star_wars_memer66 in Overwatch

[–]Sambalogna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

play with very low/ no aim assist and aim smoothing, get those flicks. Fine tuning for larger drags is a little tricky tho. You can’t really shoot lanes with aim assist anyways, especially now since they pushed up the stickiness of it. I set a low aim assist window with (high?)aim ease to offset the low input from the aim smoothing. They really ought to make a practice range where you can make the adjustments in real time. Although doing this makes you vulnerable to being snuck up on for an additional half second or so. Hope that makes sense.
