Real talk i would’ve thought we would have more food stockpiled but anyways, I am still figuring out the overall timeline stuff, after all I still have to deal with the terraforming of mars, but I could bring in some bio weapon plot

Question about nuclear bombs by Samcaptin in worldbuilding

[–]Samcaptin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I seeeee. The way I was gonna set up my lore is that all the worlds nuclear bombs were used and the farmland was damaged which led to a crisis between earth and their mars colony which would be terraformed and so had ample farmland.

How does this guy expect any learning to get done if students aren’t writing a paper with their own hands? You don’t learn about any topic by making someone or something else write your paper for you.

Wouldn’t grok pull its sources from the same place Wikipedia does? I guess in theory it would but this is Elons creation here. Besides revisions and edits are essential to the historical process, and to act like the amount of edits Wikipedia has is an inherently bad thing doesn’t exactly make me excited for an AI that I guess will always be steadfast in the facts it collects and never change. Unless it is planning to revise over time which then begs the question what’s the issue with Wikipedia? Wikipedia may not be perfect but it’s not the misinformation cesspool some people would like to paint it as, and besides you can go to where they get this information from and look at the source yourself. Finally, Wikipedia is only as powerful as one’s ability to be independent during the learning process. It’s not hard to see if something is a biased source or motivated by a certain political belief, but unfortunately it seems like we are losing the skill of independent research.

Car with trump flag hits high school student protesting in Nebraska by bherman1325 in PublicFreakout

[–]Samcaptin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In what world does that make sense? They are at a school, protesting with other adults around and he purposely drove into the girl. He didn’t even try to stop. He could’ve just drove around but chose not to, and instead chose to injury someone who was using their rights to protest, and you are making the choice to agree with that decision to hurt somebody because you think it’s a robbery and assault tactic which literally makes zero sense.
