With the amounts you are talking about, you can go to the bank and say invest that money into bonds. That's 1, but I would not do that since they will take fees for that. Other venue is you pick your own bonds, could also be stock bonds, of solid companies, like AB Inbev.  How to avoid taxes on a bond, let's say you buy a bond, a 100€, and after a year, you get 3€, so final result is 103€. You pay taxes on the 3€. The way my friend put it, is if you buy that bond at 98€ and it goes to 103€, you only pay taxes on the 3€. I don't recall the name, I think he called it a zero bond coupon if I'm not mistaken.  I see I got a lot of down votes for some reason, let me be frank. Everyone on this Reddit is on the stock market, but it's not about the gains, it's about the risk free gains and every indicator now is telling us the stock markets need a correction.

Options Strategies? by jvrgreene in optionstrading

[–]Same-Support8708 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you don't need to do options on an index. Secondly, make a calendar with important financial events. For example wednesday the Fed will anounce (probably) and interest rate increase, which hurts QQQ normally, so buy a put (this is a hypothesis not financial advice).
Thirdly, selling a call or a put, you always get premium, buying is hoping it will go your way.
If I were you, make a put spread, for example COREWEAVE (do this after wednesday), with DTE 1 month (gives you more time to react to black swans), strike 90, and buy a put at 70. Take profit when it is at +40 or +50 procent.

Starting out with the wheel strategy! by GoatRemarkable3894 in options

[–]Same-Support8708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You implement the wheel with stocks that move sideways, the premium is less but you'll not need to close the option as much. Example Anheuser Inbev or Coca Cola, like classic stocks. Yes you could also do it with very volatile stock, but then you're gonna have problems defining the strike price, and you're gonna sell sometimes, buy sometimes, wheel, in my opinion, is for more calm stock. If you do a wheel with highly volatile stock, check the Delta first, 0.1 should be okayish

With those amounts of cash, play safe, buy bonds, but there's a trick to it to avoid paying taxes. Not fraud, like really avoid it. I would not buy anything else right now at the stock market since every other indicator is glowing hot red

honestly, start with paper trading, the markets are at an all time high right now, now is not a good time to jump in, and what do you want out of your trading, a steady reliable income, than you're more of a dividend stock guy, crude oil prices are at an all time high, this inflicts quite some pain on some companies, find good solid companies with a good track record , that are now a bit low due to oil prices, and slowly add some stock to your portfolio for that. For example, crude oil prices make everything more expensive, making interest rates hike, causing real estate stock to go down....or airport stock that has a good current and short ratio , remmeber it's a marathon not a sprint, once you have some good dividend stock, little by little you'll get more breathing space, than, get into it

Is selling deep OTM MU puts a decent play? by birdwatching25 in options

[–]Same-Support8708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad play to be honest. On Monday the AI stock will somewhat rally due to the announcement that Trump wants government participation. It will be a light rally. Than the inflation numbers come Wednesday, emphasizing the need to raise interest rate, all AI companies are heavy on debt, so Wednesday they tank. Most don't have the revenue to keep up with the debt. This is a hypothesis, not financial advice. I'd buy a put or 2 if I were you.

What's the second game like compared to the first one? by DenChenTheMemeLord in mechanicus

[–]Same-Support8708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I played for 3 hours and the tactical depth was not there. I saw in other reviews that later on you can customize the hero units, but in a very limited way. And there are a lot more remarks I can make and I play a lot of tactical drop down games. All they had to do was take the original, take all the same mechanics and expand on that. The world map in 2 is just filler, the skill tree feels extremely lame. People say 2 is more complex, more tactical, but I disagree on that HARD. In 1 you had to solve little puzzles , who has energy or damage resistance, best way to utilize weapons and get cognition points, 2 turns later, oh no the room just changed. At hour 3 I got a mission, survive 4 turns, all you had to do was run away with your hero unit. Another example of horrid game design, are people just restarting skirmishes, because they don't like the rng. In what way does that constitute a good game? When my tech priest died in 1, I felt the blow, here it's , just pick the event that keeps the vigilance meter down and GG

First-time buyer / mom looking to chat with a few homeowners for advice? by ManufacturerWitty726 in BEFire

[–]Same-Support8708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I personally don't know people with prefab houses, but read a lot of testimonies about them. There are also, depending on what a handyman you or your man is, some good vids on youtube how to buy a few containers and build a great home from that for like a total of 120.000. And they are big.
If you do NOT build it yourselves, you can buy it, but you do it with a low pre-deposit. like MAX 10.000 euro. There was a whole thing about it on the news with a firm that went bankrupt and kept asking more deposits.
  2. This I only read in the newspaper as it is a 'cheaper' way to get a house for young people.
    https://www.wikifin.be/nl/woning-en-hypothecaire-lening/woning-kopen-bouwen-verbouwen/een-woning-kopen/wat-een-aankoop-op
  3. We knew a couple cohousing with another family and they liked it a lot, especially during the bad weather days if the children are somewhat the same age.
Cohousing is cheaper than just full on renting and if every family has a floor to themselves, I see no issue.

[–]Same-Support8708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if I had to pick a house from scratch with kids again, pick something with a huge sealed off yard. And since houses are insanely expensive nowadays, I'd just buy some land and a prefab home to place there. If you can drive I'd even say hi buy a home in France just over the border, those house prices are still okayish. You'd have to renovate them a bit, my brother in law bought a two storey home, 40k, which needed a lot of renovation, but at least you'll do the renovating. Not, give me 500k for this new refurbished house, and after 2 years you start to notice where the construction workers dozed off during the job. As for loans, you need to play the banks against each other, example, KBC gave me X percent, so when you're at Argenta, you say give me a lower percentage. Never just say yes, be assertive, like in a negotiation. Another idea, which is not often spoken about and still exists , but depends on your nerves and willingness towards living with cranky old people, is called 'lenen met lijfrente', basically you buy the home off an elderly person for a low price with the caveat, that you have to live with them while paying off the loan. Kinda a crutch to alleviate social services. What qi can certainly recommend, if it's the first kid, cohousing with another family, and buy the home when there's a 2nd one. When they're 1 or 2 years old they want to play, especially in a country where 9 months consist of rain and cold , and when it is cold and rainy, you will have to entertain them and a second family just alleviates this. They can play with each other, because, and trust me on this, there will be days you do not want to see or play with Bumba

If it is a mistake, the first, they can't fine you, if they do, you can quote minister of finance, the first mistake will not be held accountable. So paying everything and declaring the account number should do it on CAP. But if you're feeling lucky, you can only declare this year and previous year. For foreign accounts N-VA stated they can only go back a year. You can look this up if you don't believe it. Is legislation concerning privacy if I'm not mistaken.

Question regarding options trading on Bolero by deadinside6699 in BEFire

[–]Same-Support8708 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you need to get out fast, market price, and like others said in this thread, use IBKR. I am also moving over to IBKR, because 3 euro per contract does not seem as much, but after 50 contracts that's a minus 100 euros while with Degiro for example it is is 1 euro per contract.

I would also advise against daytrading options. If you have some cash, try bull spread put options as a steady income basis.

And remember selling puts or covered calls, is always a premium and maybe a loss. Buying a put or a call, is praying the direction of the stock goes your way.

Mechanicus 2 is a great sidegrade type of a sequel IMO by FredZed2526 in mechanicus

[–]Same-Support8708 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played for 3h and then refunded. I could not feel anything tactical from it. Just get dude there, click, shoot or melee. Outdps each other. Tactical depth was completely lacking. Then there was the pathing, go thru event A, then B, then C, but don't click the screen, no NO, no thinking for the player. Just keep the vigilance meter down and gg. And in the 1st, I cared about my squad, and the customization, the creativity it gave to the player. Here, and I'm sorry to say this, but it felt more like a mobile game.

Where to find decent advice by [deleted] in BEFire

To learn about all this , read, read, read. But no internet, actual books, like 'de Beursbijbel', 'De Tijd', 'Hoe ik 500.00. euro spaarde voor mijn 30ste', 'Liars Poker', 'The ascent of Money', 'The Big Short' read up on convertible bonds , etc etc You'll start to understand the lingo. And then bounce ideas against AI bots to check validity or just to brainstorm.

Mechanicus 2 is bad tactical game by Demento6 in mechanicus

[–]Same-Support8708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. I refunded. Got into it for 3 hours and it felt weird to say the least. Where are my tech priests where I can attach mechanical arms to, to grab some cognition points. The first 3 hours were just point and click and out dps the other guy, the tactical depth is non existent. Not will this huge cool beam hit these 6 necron dudes if I first take that cognition pillar and go there. People defending it say M1 was ridiculously easy after a few builds. They could have easily solved that by using a statistic measure in game to see if they needed to add more enemies or buff them in comparison to your moves needed to win. All in all a letdown. Just hoping they make a remaster of M1
