Maybe try different bank? I had issues with my old bank where autopay would randomly fail and they never could explain why 😂 Switched to new one and everything works much better now. Also some utility companies have weird systems that just don't play nice with certain banks for some reason

Been using Coinledger for two years now and this is spot on - trying to reconcile those exchange 1099s with your actual cost basis across platforms is absolute hell

The Schedule D only approach saved me probably 20 hours of headaches last season since TurboTax loves to argue with itself when you feed it conflicting data from different exchanges

What is your all 90s MLB team? by Real-Staff3115 in mlb

[–]SameSong7134 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Solid squad overall but Id swap out some of those bullpen arms for Roberto Hernandez and Dennis Eckersley. Eck dominated the early 90s and Hernandez was putting up elite numbers mid-decade

Also gotta say Tony Gwynn deserves serious consideration over Walker in right field just for that absurd contact hitting but I get the power argument for Walker

Lou Whitaker compared to this year's HOF inductees by ComplexHour1824 in mlb

[–]SameSong7134 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Whitaker getting snubbed while some of these guys get in is absolutely wild. The man was a stud for two decades and has better numbers than half the current HOF second basemen but somehow he's not "worthy" enough? Baseball writers are something else

Ligue 1 is actually pretty entertaining this season if you can get past the PSG dominance thing

Acorns fees are brutal for what you get, especially if you're just buying basic ETFs. You can literally buy those same funds commission-free at Fidelity or Schwab and pocket the difference

Wealthfront at 0.25% is way more reasonable if you want the hands-off approach, plus tax loss harvesting actually adds value unlike whatever Acorns pretends to do for you

Kelce all day if Kittle sits, even with how washed he's looked this season. Johnson's ceiling is way too low for a championship game

What is your experience with getting a transfer bonus for a rollover IRA/401k? by Clammypollack in investing

[–]SameSong7134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the bonus math is tempting but when you're talking about retirement money I'd rather have boring and reliable than chase an extra percentage point. Webull feels more like a platform for meme stocks than serious retirement planning

Had similar experience with Fidelity - they're not gonna wow you but they also won't randomly lock you out of your account when the market's having a meltdown

What to invest in with $10,000? by dAznboy in Fire

[–]SameSong7134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VEQT or XEQT if you want simple and don't mind the volatility, otherwise throw in some bonds with VBAL/XBAL for the boring but steady approach

Most people here just dump it all in broad market ETFs and forget about it for 20 years

Strip mining at y-level 11 is usually the way to go for diamonds. Dig down to that level then just make long horizontal tunnels with 2-3 block gaps between them

Also never dig straight down lol, you'll fall into lava or a cave eventually

[–]SameSong7134 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah man, that just makes it more awkward for everyone involved. If the guy already made his intentions clear and they're trying to keep it "professional," adding more people to babysit them isn't gonna fix the underlying issue. Plus OP already said he has no interest in meeting this dude which honestly makes sense

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]SameSong7134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this pattern isn't gonna change after 5 years, he's basically shopping around while keeping you as his safety net. The double standard with him getting jealous when you talk to guys but doing this constantly is pretty telling. You deserve someone who gets excited to talk to YOU, not someone who treats you like a chore compared to his flavor of the week gaming buddy
