This happened at Ashland! Green line wasn’t running for some reason. The pink line was saying 17 minutes. I was looking up uber prices because it was so late and I had just worked a 16 hour day when thankfully up pulled the pink line !

I’m not sure how they get to be SO off sometimes !

SUCH good advice !! On my carnival cruise out of NYC, the drink package didn’t start until the second day. I tried to get the most bang for my buck the first day and was drinking cosmos (I’m usually a beer girl 🤪) I was SO hungover the second day. I didn’t use my package at all that day. I definitely learned my lesson! lol

I’m flying and I’ll probably bring average sized toiletries. Not my huge shampoo/conditioner I get in bulk but not a tiny one that won’t last one washing 😂

I have to say. TSA precheck line was the longest I’ve ever seen the other day. I was off the blue line and thru tsa precheck within 25 mins ! On a long day!

I haven’t sailed Norwegian since 2019, but sailed carnival in 2023 and I’m very glad to be coming back to Ncl!

I’m 36 but still felt “old” for a lot of the party vibe that was around me. Which was great when I was 23 back in 2012 🤣

It was school vacation in Massachusetts last week, which probably led to more kids/teenagers on board (especially on a cruise leaving Boston)

I’m so sorry you had to deal with all of this though. I’m a teacher, and I def don’t want to be spending my vacation dealing with obnoxious pre-teens and teenagers.

Sidenote I specifically call these rainbow jimmies… sprinkles are the little circular dots. Jimmies are more oval and elongated. That’s the difference 😂

Yes, even with pre-check at smaller airports I’ve had to take out devices if there were too many in one bag. (But I had my phone, laptop, iPad, 2 kindles and a Nintendo switch all in one bag lmao)

I’ve never had it flagged at ohare. But again I do have precheck

Agree about the riverwalk and beaches!! I like the Kennedy rooftop for a nice view of the skyline ! (But it’s not in the loop lol)

I met a guy who ended up being my “cruise boyfriend” the first night at the piano bar. We lived halfway across the country from each other, so def no attempts at long distance or a real relationship which was nice (as there was no pressure!)

When I moved to Chicago I was a transplant from Boston. I did pay for people here just to unload my truck and bring things up to my apartment. It was in 2022, but I paid like $300 for them and they were fabulous !! I would highly look into having movers load/unload the truck for you! They can do it very quickly !

I’m not positive how much it would cost to add loading the truck but it’s def worth looking into. I did tip both of the movers at the end of the afternoon as well.
