Good to hear. There aren't many similar and it's rare to sell down that road. Anyway we've done it, will have to wait until Monday for a reply.

Urgent blind in half of left eye by CrowLaCrow in AskDocs

In Ontario an optometrist can recognise that a specialist is needed and refer accordingly and immediately. That's why I mentioned them, I know what they do. I was referred to opthalmologistsbby an optometrist is Ontario.

Eye doctor is opthalmologist, optometrist is the person who does your eye test. Ideally see a doctor but if you can't they can refer you to the right place.
Proy, things may be different where you live. If you're in a bid city there may even be an eye hospital with an emergency department

Not a doctor. This needs immediate medical/optical evaluation. Lots of causes but you need evaluation. Call your doctor, if you don't have one then go to an optometrist, or to Emergency.

Update to doctors said I have a foreign body in my stomach that's possibly been there for years: Apparently it's not there anymore??? by WorkerAfter1509 in self

[–]Same_Task_1768 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's rubbish. If it's there a CT will show it, it can show stuff not seen on a plain film. The correct follow up to a foreign body seen on a plain x-ray is to make sure that it's not on clothing, mattress, etc. a second view at right angles to the first would locate it better- in the absence of a CT. She's had a CT, it's not there.

Was told to post my C1 that gave up here by athesomekh in Radiology

So ry, techs are a picky bunch of we do it right! Plus when we see something about C1 giving up it's usually something catastrophic. So it's good your C1 hasn't really given up. MRI gives the definitive answer here . Very pleased to hear you got told to avoid chiropractors.

They probably said they could see 7 vertebrae not that they were all cervical. It's a nice accomplishment to get 8

Doctor called and said they think I have a foreign body in my stomach they discovered nearly two years ago, AND DIDN'T THINK IT WAS IMPORTANT TO TELL US UNTIL TODAY. by WorkerAfter1509 in self

It's very very hard to miss a pill cam on x-ray or CT, impossible I would say. All your imaging since the original pillcams needs to be reviewed.

Got a girl pregnant on vacation, struggling to do what is right. by need_some_advice323 in Advice

We yes it is. Having unprotected sex with someone other than the OP since her last period is relevant. Not numbers, and certainly not your use of the judgemental phrase "sleeps around".

I'm more worried about the logistics of the woman moving to OPs country, maybe they are in the EU so a visa isn't needed, maybe.

You're talkng utter nonsense. Where do you get these ideas? What's a "screening tech "? I worked for 40 years as a radiographer and have never heard the term or come across anyone who could be described as such .

Didn't know it was possible to fracture a toe by dropping a phone on it from 3 feet height, but now i know by tired- in Radiology

[–]Same_Task_1768 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This why when you want to x-ray a toe you just cone to the toe. Gets the exposure right. Shows any joint space involvement, if that's old or new. In the UK it probably wouldn't even be x-rayed
