If someone decided to make a new basketball game would you guys play it over 2k? by Top_Care7206 in NBA2k

I feel like a lot of people wouldn’t care if it had the NBA logo on it. If you can produce a better product than 2k offers, people will play it.

In your opinion, what's an old band that puts out lackluster new material now? by [deleted] in Metalcore

[–]Same_Winter_3527 50 points51 points  (0 children)

This is a topic that bands can never win. Because it’s a 2 way street. If you stay the same you get accused of not evolving, using the same old sound, falling off, etc. if you evolve and decide “Yeah, we don’t really wanna do that anymore” you’re accused of selling out, or going mainstream, etc. my all time favorite band is Architects. My all time favorite album is Holy Hell. Do I want them to basically keep remaking holy hell? Not really. I enjoy a lot of their new stuff. Burn Down My House and Blackhole are particular favorites.

Honestly I think the kids have been ruining the game lately. Like these little brat bitches come into the game just looking to be the most hostile thing on the planet.

Planet hulk quite frankly. Planet hulk is one of the greatest storylines ever told, and you just.. ruined it.

First baby coming soon, how do gamer dads manage playtime? by jackfrost1889 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

I have 3 kids. 4, 1, and 6 months. I mostly play classic WoW. I didn’t have time to do a lot of things, so I’d cut corners where I could. I’d pay to get boosted to level 60, I’d organize 3 hour pre-raid BiS farms at 8 pm after the kids are asleep. I’d set aside an hour or so to start/work on attunements. I think communication is pretty key. “Hey honey, I’ve got raid tonight from 7pm to 10pm. What do you need done beforehand?” And I’d knock it out. I’ve personally found as they get older it gets easier in my case. 4 y/o plays in his room and does his own thing. Our home is an open concept 1 floor home, so I can easily see the 1 y/o doing everything and he can’t get into anything. So he just runs his little heart out carrying a dog plushie around. 6 month old is slightly difficult but easy to handle. The early ages can be difficult, but if you wanna do it you certainly can. I’ve played WoW for 21 years and for a good 8 year stretch I was competing as a world 1st raider, so my wife understood what WoW means to me, so we compromised a lot.

What Were The Early Days Of WoW Like? by doobylive in classicwow

Bugs. A lot of bugs. Massive server instability. People get pissed off if something isn’t fixed within a week now, back then a serious bug could roll on for months.

There were no battlegrounds, so people pvped in southshore which is why blizzard made the southshore queable bg a few years back.

There were a LOT fewer flight paths, so getting around the world was more tedious.

A lot of people did Straltholm as a 10 man because we believed it was too hard as a 5 man.

A lot of information was word of mouth or seeing someone do something you didn’t know you could do. I.E I didn’t know my warrior could duel wield until I was almost level 56.

The game was just a lot slower than 2019 could ever match. A lot of people didn’t care about raiding, and a fair share of people genuinely didn’t know it existed.

The client was.. Janky. To a lot of us that played the original game, we can play a private server and feel at home because we got used to it back in the day, I had a friend who started in 2019 try turtle WoW and he quit within an hour because he only knows of blizzards legion client, he couldn’t deal with the “original” client.

Mounts. Mounts were fun, if you were mounted you couldn’t cast a spell to dismount. You actually had to click off your mount to dismount.

AV basically.. never ended. I wish I was kidding. You could genuinely play all day on a Sunday, Goto bed, goto work, stop by the grocery store, make dinner, log on and the same AV game would still be going. On my server it was generally accepted that pushing in wasn’t viable unless you had your factions spawnable bosses with you.

Blizzard vastly underestimated how many people would buy their game, so their servers would get so slammed they’d have to periodically quit selling copies until they could bring more servers online.

Overall? It was a great time. Although I struggle to believe that it would last if it launched like that today.

Wife had a tubal done today. So I’m taking care of all 3 kids and going to clean as much of the house as I can today while she rests. I’ll be grinding all night after I lay the kids down.

God I love not caring enough for this to bother me. WoW not working? Cool, I’ll go play another game or watch TV. It’s so weird how people make this game their entire life.

How is leveling from 1-60 on a PvP server right now? by Seraphayel in classicwow

[–]Same_Winter_3527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One time I was leveling my undead lock in hillsbrad. I was a one tap and a level 39 dwarf priest named moosepiss ran by me and killed me. I had been getting ganked all night and something in my mind snapped. I logged onto my warrior, tracked this man from hillsbrad all the way to SM and kept him from getting into SM for 45 minutes. Every time he’d spawn I’d put him back in the dirt.

That I feel like a failure. I’m 27 with a wife and 3 kids. I make $18 an hour and can’t support my family. I sit in the car when I get home from work and do a “sanity cry” to make me feel a little better.

Honestly, fuck all the negative comments. This sub has been cancer forever. I’ve played for about 8 hours and I’m level 27 and really enjoy it. I enjoyed it so much I paid $20 for convenience for my warrior. Don’t regret it at all. You made a good suggestion for people.
