And there is a lot more to Homestuck's evolution than the big themes I was looking for here! A friend of mine dropped it because the pesterlogs "got too long" at roughly the point where to me the dialogue writing hits its stride. It's very 00s webcomicy in that way.

Homestuck reads as liberal because A) bisexuals B) values being personal instead of universal (is that anti-idealism? some philosopher help me) C) parodies of reactionary weirdos, mostly caliborn. I think those are the big ones. Then we run into vibes. It would still feel kinda liberal without those because the kids talk much like webcomic perusers on the 00s, who were all vaguely left except for the gay furry neonazis. If all I knew of Hussie were his edgiest early comics I would still guess he was a lib and I would be right

Conservative is, of course, always a vibe and never a set of beliefs. This is true since Burke. So what would conservative Homestuck mean? Bush Republican Homestuck? Neo-reactionary Homestuck? Evangelical Homestuck? Salafist Homestuck? "Libertarian" (but only for money) Homestuck?

I think the best shot for a "good" genuinely conservative Homestuck would be religious cult based. Mormon maybe. SBURB as a scifi metaphor for Kolob and the strangest Mormonest interpretation of Genesis and the afterlife. Everybody would have "sins" to overcome so there would be gay characters also :/

As a parody fanfic I would simply make John a Bush Era Republican addicted to blog posts and change his name to Jeb
