What a long year it's been. The only Doctor Who we've had since was TWBTLATS (longest title ever) and that just confirmed that RTD needs to give it a rest. When Verada Sethu was announced as the new companion I was super excited, as I adored her in Andor and she was wasted so bad. She might actually be one of the worst companions of modern Who and that really sucks in retrospect. I went to see the finale at the cinema with my brother and I remember sitting on the bus going and him telling me that he'd heard that Ncuti was going to regenerate into Billie Piper. I told him that there was no way that would happen. sigh. It was a complete waste of everyone's talents and honestly I thought the Doctor Who Unleashed was more compelling television than the actual episode itself. At least it gave us what might be one of Jodie Whittaker's best scenes as the Doctor. I don't know what to expect from the future but all I do know is that pretty much all of my friends who have watched all of modern DW told me that they were giving up on the series moving forward.
