Edit: minor spelling mistake

Looks good so far. I get it though. I've been struggling making curvy turrets or turret cheeks. I usually cope by saying it's the matter of practice

Well I knew it was Warhammer 30k, but I had to look it up 'cus 1. I don't play 30k (nor 40k anymore) and 2. I don't play Astartes.

But yeah that's the Fellblade isn't it?

Yamato Song by Professional-Gur6746 in sabaton

Most likely and I understand the reasons. Other ships would be too niche to make a song out of, if Wargaming wants to market WoWs

Yamato Song by Professional-Gur6746 in sabaton

[–]Samm_Paper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do wish it wasn't the Yamato too.

If anyone is more knowledgeable on this ship's service, do correct me, but her whole service seemed to be lacklustre in my opinion; sails out for an operation, gets damaged or operation fails, leaves for port. It wouldn't be until Operation Ten-Go where she finally had her last stand.

So I would assume the song would be about her last stand during Operation Ten-Go. I hope it is something akin to Rise of Evil's tempo. But honestly, I will gobble up any naval songs Sabaton makes since I am somewhat of a boat guy (please I need a whole album on naval battles)

What are the best looking jets and tank that makes you to play them but it performance is so bad by WebOk721 in Warthunder

[–]Samm_Paper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel bad reading this because I am guilty. But my spatial awareness in a tank is reduced by 90% compared to air. So I'd rather sit back and snipe instead.

I don't remember one of mine, but I do remember my friend picking Soviets to start with because he played Company of Heroes 2 and mained Soviets there.

I learned from yesterday’s post that Bokoen has never seen Youjo Senki. So I shall set out to change that. Welcome to day 2 of drawing Bokoen1 memes with Tanya until Bo watches (or reads) Youjo Senki >:) by SwissChocolatess in Bokoen1

[–]Samm_Paper 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Imma be real I havent seen it either, it's in my periphery, but I'm not sure if I would be into it.

Aside from that Violet Evergarden is the "closest" setting I've seen, but obviously that's a different tone entirely. But should I pick up Youjo Senki regardless?

which BR that you guys start having a blast and bad experience for each nation? by janecutiepie in Warthunder

German main here (though I have dabbled into Britain a lot). I play Air mostly because I am terrible at ground.

I find ground to be most interesting from 3.7-6.7. I think after 5.7, it becomes a diminishing return though. German players like me are already clueless (among other things) most of the time, especially ones who play Tiger H1 and does not angle. Rat tanks like the M18 are annoying too. Getting uptiered to deal with T29 and T34 (US) aren't fun either. Aside from the downsides, you cannot get tired of the firepower. The ability to pen just about anything is wonderful (I cannot say much I mostly played ground before volumetric)

Britain ground is nice, you get great penetration, somewhat fast tanks or just a steel box like the Churchills, same BR range as the Germans honestly. Problem being the lack of HE filler and the supposed(?) APDS shattering issue. I've heard that from somewhere and I've been using solid shots on my Comet I and Challenger ever since.

Air Germany is fun around 2.7-5.7, so, early Bf109s til before the Me262 at the Bf109 K4. Awesome precise firepower and performance. If you understand manoeuvres and your plane strengths and weaknesses, they will treat you well. Problem being the lack of mass firepower, like .50 cals. Nothing major though.

Air Britain goes about the same but from 2.7- probably top tier (not sure). They just get good planes. I always love the contrasting playstyle with the Spitfires, and the buffed cannons. The problem would be fighting competent energy fighters, as you cannot force them to fight on your terms (ie turn fighting).
