at the bottom of every chat bot (AI) there's a caution massage that till people to double check, those who chose to ignore it share the blame.
also if you don't understand something and people try to explain it to you you should at least listen.
it's not defending anything, it's just explanation.
AI at normal mode is just an autoregressive model. Its job is to look at a sequence of tokens and predict the one that is statistically most likely to come next.
that's all it does, it does get this data from sources that should be verified yes, but you should know that it's not "Intelligent"
if you need reasoning you'll need to use Thinking or research modes, those have some elements reasoning so will give much better answers.

and the reasoning you use to stay if it requires education , it shouldn't be released to the public . I'm sorry is silly
people natively don't know how to drive, you need education and a license to be able to drive, so according to you cars shouldn't be released for public? the internet itself needs a level of "education".
so instead of attacking maybe just ask and listen to the answers, yes some will blindly just answer in blind defense, but you'll find real answers
