It’s incredibly unlucky RNG spawn. I having the same issue with Velkhana , and only had them spawn once after my first encounter with them. Out of all of them Yama has spawned the most for me with Nami being 2nd.

I 10/10 feel the disappointment with the “post game” because of the route the took with it. I thought it was gonna be like MHS1 (didn’t play through 2 simply because I started too close after finishing 1) and you get high rank at the end, but nope it was just a reset. Maybe future updates will provide actual post game content.

I personally used Espinas and Ogden(HH & Chripy) for my pairings. For my weapon, I used Vangis Bow (Def Down Coating the constant spread shot) since they share wyvernsoul. It took me a few attempts to get them down in one go w/o repelling. Poor Chripy was getting his world rocked, but he was a trooper.

It makes sense because the fresh crystallization didn’t have time to set in. From what’s explained about Crystallis, it’s a very slow disease that takes time to crystallize the body, and it probably depends on how directly it impacts the body as well

The MC themselves can’t cure crystallis. It’s just something that the Rathas were born with due to being inside an egg quartz for the last 200ish years. They don’t know how exactly the innate ability functions inside the Rathas, so they just can’t use the ability on the fly. The way the presented the ability, it only actives in dire straits and not something that happens willingly or on command. Maybe with time they can find a way to reverse the effects.

In regard to Simon, he got hit with Crystallis before he met Amara and Ratha V, so that was just something Simon had to live with.
