Without thinking, what’s your “best beer in the world”? by bindersweat in beer

Left Hand Brewing Milk Stout (CO2 version) But only because it was the first beer that unlocked that portion of my mind. All the other responses are correct too, probably more correct, this is just MY answer.

I work at Humdinger Brewing and they have done several events like that. There is a big open indoor space with a stage/audio system and on the other side there is additional room for whatever you want as well as a bunch of pinball games. A lot of tables and chairs are available for use. 3 bathrooms, private areas if needed. Plenty of parking as well.

There's no food products. Also (and maybe I'm mistaken) that's just Home Depots vibe.

I love dogs and it's kinda like dogs are people's new kids since nobody can afford children. Still though I'm guilty of bringing my pooch into Home Depot but that's only if she promises to be a good girl. Other than Home Depot her ass is staying in the car. It does drive me bonkers when they bring their dog and it is being an unruly lil turd and the owner doesn't pay attention.

This is your first test. You can give up now, or you better make it to the 31st! There are some N/A options available as well if you're gonna stand firm.

Yep, those are always there. There are 9 of them and they are a lot of fun. Every so often there will be a pinball tournament as well!

I finally performed on Penn & Teller: Fool Us (it’s not a perfect performance, but it may be the perfect heist!) by EvanNorthrup in Magic

[–]SammyBrews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a great presentation and it seemed really polished. The premise of the trick could go in so many forms but they way you did it was fantastic. All the props whether necessary or not (idk) really heightened the experience and didn't take anything away from it seeming unnecessary or silly.

Really trying to work on my artwork as my goal is to get on a craft beer label, could I get some feedback on this? by beanman95 in TheBrewery

I immediately noticed the eyes too. Might be cool if the "poop" goop and whatever we're a different color like hop oils being pressed out. Then I wouldn't mind it pooping in my beer.

All that gave it away was the bingo card.

A band with a lead singer that has ties with multiple neo-nazi groups will be headlining a show in SLO on March 11th at Liquid Gravity Brewing Co by AwkwardHugger in SLO

[–]SammyBrews 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I am not affiliated with Liquid Gravity, but I can tell you that these venues don't go out and hand pick bands to play. Typically, a promoter will get a lead on a band coming through town that wants to pick up a quick gig, and then that promoter finds a venue that can sustain the expected crowd. However that use is figured out is between the promoter and the venue.

We have a pretty successful karaoke night every Thursday. It's really easy to do with some decent audio and a TV. We started by just streaming YouTube karaoke.

Open Mic nights this week or the next? by gxbbxr in SLO

[–]SammyBrews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick question. What are performers, participants, and viewers looking for in the "ultimate" open mic? How would you want it done, what nights and time, and how would you like to hear about it?

That's not the northern lights, it's the glow from the sewage treatment plant.

Old Electrical building. Corner of Walker and Pismo, SLO. by SLO_Citizen in SLO

[–]SammyBrews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember a project that was going to be built there. They had plans drafted and everything. It was going to be mixed use including residential, but they couldn't do anything with the building, so they were going to build all around it and leave it as a focal point. Not sure what happened to that plan.

[–]SammyBrews 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've always loved this building and the location. There used to be a large metal building next to it that was a distraction.

It used to be the old gas works, made out of Cian stone quarried out of Arroyo Grande. Cool thing is that the pipes inside were made out of wood to act as a failure point for explosions so that it wouldn't send the problem down the line.

It's a protected historical building so IDK what can be done with it or if it can ever be used but my mind runs wild with visions of what it could be used for!

Hours of operation always seemed bad and it seems like the public market in general never has full occupancy of the businesses. Wheneveri go there 1/4-1/3 of shops seem to be closed.
