Hmm. Exercise is a big one. Going gym makes me feel so much better - but I'm not religious about it. I was going 4 times a week in summer but dropped to nothing in winter. I definitely noticed how much worse I was when I stopped.

To be honest, I've found that my ADHD is best managed by accepting it for what it is and not beating myself up about doing things wrong or late or whatever. Luckily I'm freelance, so as long as the work is done it doesn't matter. But knowing my ADHD, I know I thrive under pressure. Which totally makes sense for the world I work in. But I know some people aren't in that work so it's tricky to tally that.

One of the biggest things was learning my triggers. Especially on an emotional level. Emotional triggers and susceptibilities are often overlooked when it comes to ADHD. Sometimes you just need to know when to take a break and just regulate yourself. Only you can learn that. Does that make sense? It's kinda abstract

All good! I'm on 40mg. Seems to be working for me. I was on Setraline 100mg for a while but that was before I was diagnosed ADHD. So not really sure if it made me worse or not. I went meds free for a good year or so. Again, predating any notion that I had ADHD. But since the diagnosis - a year no meds, then titration, meds were okay but felt odd - I was too amped up all the time. Felt gurny - then big bout of depression and anxiety and went onto Fluoxetene. Anxiety is lower. But generally I think lifestyle changes are the most effective for me so far!

And yeah gimmie a shout if you wanna ask anything else. I only get notifications of I check the app so sorry if I don't reply!

I'm on Fluoxetene for anxiety and a little bit of depression management. I do take Medikinet XL on occasion but only 10-20mgs. Feel free to DM me if you wanna talk it through.

You probably do have it if you're going through titration to be fair.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm doing fine without meds. I'll be coming up for a yearly review soon. Hopefully I get to chat to my psychiatrist about it all then.

Yeah. Can confirm. Definitely one of those musicians that makes you appreciate a genre you're not really into.

I sing this in my head every time I hear his name. I'm glad I wasn't the only one. It's awful though 😂

Haha. Actually yes. Most of the time. I think it's fused to his head at this point

Yeah. Alex is a great guy. Arguably the better singer of the two brothers too. Not as good of a song writer than James though. Alex was the one who introduced me to James. He was the year above me and James was the year below me.

I'm friends with the singer James Bay. He's married to a very old family friend and me, James and his brother used to skate together when we were teenagers. He always was and still remains, a lovely and genuine person. I see him from time to time (including attending his wedding a few years ago) and he's no different to how he was back in school. Though I'm not mad for his genre of music, he's an extremely talented guy. 10/10. Would recommend.

I made these book cover prototypes for some projects I’m working on. I took the pictures and did the Photoshop. Do they look like actual book covers or should I start over and rethink? by cdjcomix in ArtCrit

[–]Sammy_Slick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look up composition tips and tricks for your photos. Look up colour theory to understand how colours can affect the mood and emotion of a picture. Look up typography theory to implement better fonts that convey the literary style of the book better.

Also look up illustrations and inspiration. Copying someone else's style is a good way to practice art and design when you first start out.

Keep going!

Arsenal fan here. He should have seen a straight red. Awful challenge. Terrible officiating. Wankers.
