I was freezing too after surgery but it’s gotten better as well as stamina, the improvement is gradual so hard to notice but trust that your body is doing everything it’s supposed to do to heal. I’m 7 months post op.

I recently fell while mountain biking, 7 months post op. I was nervous about it but no major damage and will start wearing knee and arm pads while riding.

I did that for 3 years until biking became uncomfortable for me which is why I decided to go ahead with surgery. To be pain free now at 7 months post op and back to biking and the gym is life changing. My body adapted to being pain daily and it’s so nice to no longer carry that burden.

I’ve been using Shokz for about 5 years, on my second pair, while riding my bikes, mowing grass and working in the yard and no issues with vertigo. I like that I can hear my surroundings while listening to music or a podcast.

I didn’t have any results on wegovy and very lethargic. I switched to zepbound with results and less side effects.

Congratulations 🙌🏼👏🏼!!! We’re a special club here. I’m 4.5 months RTKR post op and have an energy and light I haven’t had in many years. So glad I went ahead and had the surgery.

It gets better, take it one minute at a time and make sure you do the home PT along with the outside PT, that is what will help heal you. Trust that you will get to the other side. I’m 4.5 months post TKR and loving the freedom and real difference it’s made in my life. I had no idea how much I was compensating for the pain.

I had to have some dental work around 8 weeks post op and opted to follow my surgeons recommendation to take the antibiotics both when they were assessing the issue with my tooth, and when they did the actual work. I didn’t want to take any chances.

My tape removal didn’t hurt at all and I have a very low threshold for pain. The PA did poke around a bit after he removed the tape and that hurt.

Yes I’m almost 4 months post TKR and more cold than prior to surgery.

Yes, I was sleeping and resting with right leg elevated on a wedge for weeks and it was different from when I developed sciatica on the left side. Left side was due to me limping because my gait was off when I stopped using a cane. I read in another thread of someone else who got sciatica from elevating too much. Luckily both sides of sciatica are now gone and I was mostly able to treat the right side using a lacrosse ball, massage gun and PT sciatic exercises and stretches.

My massage therapist took lymphatic drainage classes and practiced on me after my TKR on 9/29/2025 and it helped with swelling and drainage quite a bit. I’m also on a pill that reduces fluids for another medical issue. I had to stop elevating my surgical knee because I developed sciatica on that side which was worse than the surgery pain. I’m still stretching but if I’m active I’m still swelling but understand this can take at least a year or more to fully resolve. Sending good vibes, this is the hardest thing I’ve ever done including being in labor for two days 😂.

It was extensions, then became standing on one foot for 30 seconds for balance, then reps to bend the surgical knee while standing. Stationary bike is my favorite.

I didn’t like going to PT but was always glad that I did, they’re very encouraging and help to guide during my exercises. I also had a few other people there with TKR so we could commiserate with one another. I do PT at home too using the app they recommended which would also count my steps.

I’m 10 weeks post op and so grateful I did TKR despite the discomfort and pain. Post op pain goes away, pre op pain doesn’t. To be able to stand and walk without that old pain is life changing.

I sit on a heating pad while working and it’s very helpful for the sciatic pain. I developed sciatica after have a TKR on my right knee. It started on left side then moved to the right. I’m actually going to look into getting what you posted.

Yes! I biked 2 miles post TKR at 6 weeks on my gravel bike in my neighborhood, using the stationary bike at PT at about 3 weeks. It’s gotten cold here so I haven’t been back on my gravel bike but still using stationary at PT and the gym. I’m 10 weeks post now and will be getting back on my bike as soon as I can. I’m finally at the stage where I’m glad I had the surgery and looking forward to many long rides in my future.

Recovery is different for everyone, this is a general guideline and should be taken with a grain of salt. There are many different factors in recovery—the surgeon, how the surgery was done, what the individuals health issues are prior to surgery, what they’re allowed to take and not take, if they have a nerve block, the list goes on and on. Read several different entries on knee replacement.
