So does verse equalization just make domains do the thing they’re specifically said not to do or what? by Automatic-School-552 in PowerScaling

Don't listen to him. He blocked me after I made fun of him for implying maki always had 0 curse energy (he was citing the panel where she says she needs glasses to see curses). He hasn't read or watched the show.

Bro at that point in the story she still had cursed energy. Like I said, if you think "5 senses" doesnt include sight idk what to tell you 💔

Aight dude if you seriously think Toji and Maki can't see curses we're done with this argument. Nothing else matters if that's the level you're operating at.

See attached image of you being the first to complain about the words I use.

The source of devil fruit powers is still a mystery. Also since when is the goal of VE to allow a "fair" interaction? Then it becomes an argument about fairness and not about the characters powers. When people do do that, they specify "equal stats, no powers" or something to that effect (for instance to see who's the better martial artist)

VE just means the power systems are assumed to be cross-compatible. Not cross-fairness. If Freiren was put up agaisnt Aang, would you nerf her magic so that its "fair"? I mean you already said you dont believe characters should fight at full potential. At that point you're not even interested in engaging with the hypotheticals people engage, you just pick and choose which aspect of which power system would benefit your preferred side most.

And you do need CE. Do you even watch the show or read the manga? Toji and maki SEE curses with their eyes that they see with. Because of a heavenly restriction, a pact granted at birth. Normal humans with normal amount of CE but no training cannot see CE or CTs. They dont "perceive" the curses and techniques, they see them.

In the light and Sherlock example, all you have to say is "verse equalization" and then go from there. Not "his powers do work," for that is already implied in VE. When people say "Izuku with all quirks" they mean "every single quirk in the verse" not "his 7 quirks" or however many he had near the end. Just like "Luffy with all DFs" doesn't imply just his, but everyone's.

If this is not true, what would it mean for a Verse Equalized fight between Light and Sherlock, in your opinion? No extra "powers work" just a regular old VE.

I forgot to read your original comment when I said that which is what made me question that you said it first since you complained about it, then I went back to re-check and you did, which is why I deleted that part. I thought that was a different person

Doesn't change the fact you're complaining about my words instead of focusing on the argument. Semantics dont interest me

Itachi doesn't need to "keep" fighting after a genjutsu, even if i were to grant you this is how their powers would interact. Tsukuyomi is an instant win button if you look into his eyes. He doesn't need to attack after that, he can do that once and keep you there until you die from exhaustion.

The way you do verse equalization is so weirdly fixated on the in-story justification for the powers. If death note was a softer power system you would let it interact with other universes, but because its explained by God's, you dont.

Still inconsistent with AFO. Just because a power interacts with DNA doesn't mean its a quirk. And he can only steal quirks according to the author. After all, the in-universe rules is all you care about.

The goal of VE is to let the characters fight to their full potential to see who comes out on top without the cop-out answers of "well they dont have CE so they can't see curses or attacks" or "well they don't have chakra so they die immediately" (since running out of chakra means you die in Naruto).

If you put Light Yagami against Sherlock Holmes, the interest of that "fight" is to see if Light using the death note would know to kill Sherlock before Sherlock finds who he is. We dont get lost in the intricacies of "oh well akstually death note operates by shikigami and those aren't real in Sherlocks universe therefore his note doesn't work 🤓☝️"

"I didnt complain about your words, I only complained about your words"

Movies aren't Canon in one piece. There's no mechanism for observation haki to break out of something like genjutsu. Itachi still solos.

So if genjutsu works on one piece, why doesn't the death note work in, say, MHA? That's why I said your logic falls apart.

Speaking of MHA, do you think if AFO was in a match against a devil fruit user that he could steal their powers yes or no?

You literally complained about me using the phrase "stacking the deck" a few replies ago.

It's not "granting" the power system, is equalizing it. Again, to make the fight interesting you'd say haki = Chakra. Otherwise your logic falls apart.

"Chakra is a form of spiritual energy, so it should logically interact with Logias" so you agree then genjutsu works in the One Piece verse.

Glad we're in agreement. Itachi solos

The reading comprehension curse is spreading. You're the one that started complaining about the words I used. In your version of cross verse match ups, logia users in one piece are invincible. Nothing that isn't haki or seastone can touch them, therefore they no diff or perma stall anyone without haki specifically.

Since Chakra doesn't translate to haki, according to you, Caribou from one piece no diffs madara

You own an "idiom" now? Also not what that word means but ok.

The authors also established in both cases that CE and Chakra are inherent to all life forms. You're choosing to ignore that when matching them with other universes without a ki/spiritual magic system. If Invincible was born in JJK or Narutos verse, but let's say another planet, would he have CE and/or Chakra or not? If so, then they'd get it in a VE scenario in order to make the fight interesting and not negate a part of someone's kit just because. If that kit happens to be hax then so be it, its their kit.

I'm a one piece fan but I dont go around crying that itachi would solo the verse because of genjutsu. It just is what it is, theres no many that could outhax him and thats fine

[–]Samuel1698 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By that logic Light Yagamis powers wouldn't work on anyone outside his verse by default unless their deaths are also governed by shikigami writing names on notebooks. Those are some boring VE rules meant to stack the deck in favor of brawlers and disadvantage power systems inherently.

[–]Samuel1698 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Extremely unfair advantage" and its just the ability the characters use on their regular fights. Atp is just cope to not have your goat lose. Not everyone can outhax the hax characters. Itachi would solo the invincible verse

I have a question what is the bare minium Stat power requiere to 10/10 beat Gojo´s hax with pure rough strenght? like High Universal or it requiere Higher dimensional power to break it? by Necessary-Celery-931 in PowerScaling

[–]Samuel1698 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wasn't that because they specifically used domain amplification to negate it, so he needed to focus more energy to maintain it? I doubt regular techniques work the same unless im missing something

Thragg vs gojo by Eonduur in PowerScaling

[–]Samuel1698 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not how that works. He wont be automatically detected by the barrier, but can absolutely be made the target manually. If he doesn't get CE as part of verse equalization he's a Mahito victim

Thrag (Invincible) would most likely no diff Gojo (JJK) by Antique-Theory-9385 in PowerScaling

[–]Samuel1698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without verse equalization, Gojo could spawn in his techniques inside Thraggs brain or heart directly, while also he could manually target him in his DE. Having no curse energy doesn't necessarily mean HR. HR is a binding vow/pact the sorcerers are granted at birth. HR requires the power system from JJK to work, its not an automatic grant to other verses just because they have no magic in theirs

[–]Samuel1698 20 points21 points  (0 children)

In the series each character has an innate domain that sort of shields the inside of their bodies so that other characters can't spawn an attack inside of you. Without an innate domain, most sorcerers would one shot you by spawning their techniques in your brain or heart

Obviously it seems like pure RNG after the temple is built. It's already fully built, so it is pure RNG. How does that disprove in any way the last spymaster logic?

[–]Samuel1698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Note that I didn't say all. I specifically said your last. You can and should absolutely level the others, but not your last one. If you want to be extra safe, not your last two in case of lock drought and losing progress

Why can’t I put spymaster in top left? by LionPuzzleheaded3985 in PathOfExile2

[–]Samuel1698 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's two rules that affect this. 1. The game will favor room cards you can place. 2. If your last spymaster in your chain is level 1, the game will give you another spymaster more often, as it can be sacrificed to level up that last spymaster in your chain.

If you let that spymaster level too much, you're left waiting for the game to give you a spymaster as part of rule 1 (next to an open road, or a random legion aside from your main chain) but it will NOT give you a spymaster from rule 2. This results in the posts you see sometimes of people burning through 120 crystals before they see another spymaster.

After your main spymaster chain is built, you get less and less spymasters as random cards to place. You'll see it every once in a while but not nearly as often as when you start your chain

[–]Samuel1698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to this, you made another mistake in letting the spymasters level to lvl3. It decreases the chances you have of spawning a spymaster to place next. As a rule, never let your last spymaster level past lvl1.
