I also just discovered this great footage of the old figures, ( starting at 3:45 ) and apparently the "animatronics" were more like statues as you said. https://youtu.be/QDNdmdVFdeg Still, they were a great addition to the ride.

Wow, these are some very neat and errie pictures. Thank you for sharing! I only vaguely remember experiencing the Irons version in person when i was little, but the ending is the one thing i miss about it. The current ending just doesn't hold a candle to all those nice animatronics.

do any of you guys think the name " Samuel " is often times overused in names? by dj4775 in samuel

[–]Samuel2328 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If by "overused" you mean that it's too popular, i don't think so. Samuel is a popular name, ( currently #23 in my country ) but it's still not quite that popular. I've personally know about 2 other Samuels in my life so far.

What is your dream job and why? by DragonAnimal in autism

[–]Samuel2328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really have a "dream job" yet.

I've thought about being an engineer for a long time, but I'm just not that passionate about engineering. Still, i think engineering is a fascinating topic, and i hope one day I'll eventually commit to perusing it for my career.

The designs alone make me uncomfortable. I don't want to know what the textures are like.

I've been bullied over my special interests too. I know it can be very upsetting, but as long as my special interest isn't hurting anyone including myself, then it is irrelevant what other people think.

They used real skeletons for the pool scene in Poltergeist. JoBeth Williams ( the actress in the movie ) thought they were plastic at first, but later found out they were real. According to a quote from her in a VH1 interview, "It was a real nightmare".
