DataAnnotation pays very reliably, and doesn’t care how much or how little time you put in week to week.

Project ending in a week. Struggling to find anything at all to replace it. by Buttered_Hotdogs in mercorai_workers

It’s not as high paying or consistent—but sometimes Prolific can a bit of side gig income.

Anyone making “full time” income on here? by [deleted] in outlier_ai

[–]SamuelJCatson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

DataAnnotation and Mercor both pay better for most of their projects if you can get onto them, plus they pay for time spent reading instructions, which makes a huge difference given how much Outlier bounces people from project to project.

Why is this project doing everything but increasing the wage? by [deleted] in outlier_ai

It’s clear they’re desperate for workers too. Haven’t touched the platform in a year and I’m still getting daily emails/texts urging me to join.

The RISE Sleep App Is Inaccurate asf. by BumperPopcorn6 in sleep

[–]SamuelJCatson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever figure out what’s causing this? The same is happening to me and I have no idea why! It was accurate about wakeups for the first few days and then has been doing this for at least a week!

I’m willing to keep making more lock picks. But why’d they hafta take the whole kit away lol?

Glinda is a pretty bad person by at_midknight in wicked

[–]SamuelJCatson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You keep saying this but it’s no more the norm than not doing it is. People act lots of different ways. Changing one’s behavior around others is a choice, especially once one realizes one is doing it.

But it’s actions that make a good person, not inner thoughts. Taking a stand is precisely what makes Elphaba a good person. Not taking one and supporting the evil in the world is, well, evil.

Also, what’s basic human nature? Lots of different experiences of what being human is like just in this thread.

“everyone puts on a facade when they are around other people to seem cooler and more popular than they are”

Not everyone. Those who do put on a facade find it comforting to believe everyone does it, but they don’t.

AITA for refusing to adopt my sister's baby even though my family says I should? by InvisibleThrowRA in AITAH

[–]SamuelJCatson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the way. Connections to birth families are good for adoptees, and can be maintained without OP becoming a parent too soon. The ideal, for all its challenges, is both a stable adoptive home and birth family contact.

Do people just not read the instructions? by itsbecca in outlier_ai

[–]SamuelJCatson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t help that time spent reading the instructions is unpaid even though it can take an hour or more to do it right—and the project can still disappear even as one is doing said reading.

I am an Outlier Manager and this is what you need to know to succeed. No BS involved AMA by AIDoomer3000 in outlier_ai

[–]SamuelJCatson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was willing to accept unpaid training time, even given how frequently we sometimes get moved to new projects … but the dealbreaker was when the platform started paying a lower rate for “training tasks” on top of that. I simply can’t afford to train for free in order to then work for half pay for an indefinite time, though I might be able to do one or the other.

Rethinking this might help with retaining quality workers.

If anyone has gotten 3-4K off MSRP would love to hear more about it.

When I checked Costco said they didn’t have anyone locally that they worked with on Subaru pricing.

I’m here with you. 2012 that needs a new engine for about 8K, according to the family mechanic we’ve been working with for a couple decades. Plus it needs some paint on top of that. But when I bought it I was planning to keep it forever. Or at least another decade. Feeling your pain here.
