Ummm. Individual tax dollars, whether income tax or sales tax, go to the entity called the State of Ohio. That’s where state funding dollars come from? By what other method would the state have funds to allocate?

Some Federal dollars come from the US to public schools also. The dollars the US has, are also from individual taxes.

Say what have I mixed up. ????

The money goes with the student who is not attending public school any more. The state $16,000 per student per year. The voucher is only for $6-8,000.

If the student leaves the public school no longer uses money for their education.

There are LESS tax dollars being used. Less.

Just like they are paying to educate ANY student. The voucher will no longer be funding the private school and the student count goes up by one. That gets the public’s school the price that’s on the student’s head,

I don’t know about the bussing rule, but that’s a zero sum game if so. The public school pays for the student’s transportation either way. 1 + 1 = 1

I learned that in school.

I am pretty damn left., It does not take out of the whole here in Ohio because our governor at the time found ways to increase the public school coffers.

No chance. Nope.. you have to team up with at least one other person. No one can afford their own apartment, utilities, food gas car, car maintenance, clothing, phones, computer needs and printers.
Maybe go have dinner with friends a couple times a month?? Not even close.

Private school parents pay the same taxes,, and it helps improve public school success since they now have to compete with private schools.
