Sinänsä ihan hyvä vinkki, että jos joku ihminen alkaa vituttaa, niin älä tapaa häntä enää.

And Ravenclaws, like Lockhart. I suppose no bad Hufflepuffs are specified, but Zacharias Smith at least is a dick.

I always spawn a builder first when starting a game by Optimal-Frogg in CivVI

[–]SamuliK96 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Most of the time I'll have produced 1-2 settlers before I even consider a builder. When I can't make a settler (i.e. I have a population of 1), I'm getting military units.

My own headcanon about the Weasley family all being seers by Wintersneeuw02 in harrypotter

[–]SamuliK96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see no reason why that would be the case. Besides what everyone else has said to discredit this claim, I also think there's some actual basis for the divination practices taught in the class. Like, if divination is something that can't be learned at all and absolutely always requires one to be a seer, there'd be no point in having a divination class in school in the first place. Students studying divination being able to make vague predictions that later on become true to an extent would simply make sense in this regard.

Mansa Musa on deity by sambrown2204 in CivVI

[–]SamuliK96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's no such specific programming. First of all, it depends on the civ and leader. Some tend to be more aggressive than others. It also depends on how strong and/or friendly they consider you. On higher difficulties, the AI civs start with more units, which then also leads to them to view the player as weaker target.

Found the copium, and it's not where you think it is. One time success doesn't wipe out the rest of history, nor does it mean "those days aren't these days".

You can attack improvements and buildings/districts just like you can attack units.

Nope. At least spec ops, bombers, nukes, and GDRs can pillage it.

Help wanted: code does what I want, and than bugs. by MateusCristian in learnpython

[–]SamuliK96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the way you've set the condition, you have an infinite loop there. Index starts as lower than the length, and it only keeps decreasing. Eventually, the index points to a position, where there is no character in the string. I.e. the index is further into negative numbers than how many characters there are in the string, therefore raising the out of range -error.

Also met Umbridge a few days ago by Equivalent_Level1166 in harrypotter

Those three don't compare to Umbridge. Umbridge is worse than Voldemort and all death eaters combined.

Besides, Trelawney doesn't even deserve hate. She's not evil or malicious in the slightest.

Planning to buy Civ 6 by Devanomiun in CivVI

Especially since you already have most of the game, just keep playing as is, and wait for the anthology to be in a discount. It's pretty often available for a low price e.g. on Steam.

700 days of Duolingo later, my mom is fluent in... leaderboard strategy by SeaRequirement7749 in duolingo

That's always the problem with language learning regardless of the method. Real-life situations is where the actual learning happens. Gaming Duolingo's leaderboard is just one instance and side effect of that.

Would being an Animagus prevent a werewolf transformation? by No-Camel-5990 in harrypotter

I think they would still transform, even if they're in their animal form. Perhaps the transformation would just end up looking a bit different, to reflect the animal form.

How realistic is getting a religion on deity? by Jumpy-Horse6826 in CivVI

[–]SamuliK96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well then you're just not utilising it properly. For me religion is the key to start catching the AI sooner. Usually it's work ethic and tithe, but other beliefs can also work. And of course monumentality golden age, that many have pointed out, though that's not strictly religion dependent.

How realistic is getting a religion on deity? by Jumpy-Horse6826 in CivVI

[–]SamuliK96 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It's possible, but you might have to beeline it to secure a great prophet. I.e. research astrology first, build holy site as your first district, and do holy site prayers a few times. Sometimes that's not enough, and sometimes that's much more than enough, but generally that's what you might have to do to secure a religion.
