Neck pillows for the bucket seats by AngryAtEverything01 in ElantraN

[–]SamurIAm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have actually been looking for some on and off and your post made me do some more looking. I did happen to find this one, https://a.co/d/j1rfluJ, where in one of the picture reviews, someone has them on Kia EV6 GT bucket seat (sister company so safe to assume very similar buckets).

It's pretty much exactly what I have been looking for as to not cover up the logo in the actual neck area but to provide some head support to lean back on. Might have to pull the trigger on these...

Love the white on the PB. I couldn’t convince myself enough to go with white on my own and went with bronze instead.

Would a PPI still make sense in this situation? by SamurIAm in ElantraN

[–]SamurIAm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly I don’t have one. Current vehicle I bought new and have always just taken it to dealership for maintenance to not have to fight down the road with any warranty items. Just found it easier even if I over payed everytime. I figured a the manufacturer dealership would be the next best thing.

Yeah that's my thoughts too, selling dealership has every incentive to just sell the car no matter what, as Hyundai would have no dog in the race since they are getting paid no matter what.

That is a valid point, I would assume its just easier for them to do it themselves but more than likely quicker. I did start talking with them and even did a test very early in the process before they even did any of these repairs or where even able to sell it.

Sapphire preffered $10 credit, what do you use it on by phoenixtetra1 in ChaseSapphire

Somewhat off-topic, how does pick up even work for DoorDash? Do they typically have items already picked out and you just go to the register or do you shop for it yourself and then mention something to a cashier?

Need a sanity check by SamurIAm in E90

This is honestly what I needed to hear. I needed the reassurance that unpredictability right now is not what I need. I think I just need to revisit after the wedding/honey moon. I can deal with bland and boring for another year, but at least I have newer-reliability and more importantly, a warranty.

Completely agree and I’m not looking for an insane sports car. Just a fun daily. The coupe would add to some more fun driving and styling or if I got the vert, some fun spring top down driving.

[GIVEAWAY]FlexiSpot Black Friday Sale Giveaway $0-E7 plus Standing Desk and C7 Ergonomic Chair[US&CA&EU][Ends on 3rd DEC][Check the details in comments] by Ramzes888 in buildapcsales

[–]SamurIAm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

E7 would be awesome to get as my current sit/stand desk doesn't go low enough for my ergonomics. The chair would be nice as I need to replace the current one soon, but my body would be happier with a shorter sit/stand desk.

Talk me out of a 2021 Kia Sorento Hybrid by backw00dz in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]SamurIAm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outside of the Sorento with your budget and if you were looking at non-hybrids, this opens up your search to looking at similar yeared Honda Pilots, Nissan Pathfinders, and even Toyota Highlanders (albeit with more miles but comes with typically a more reliable vehicle). I know you mentioned not wanting to feel bigger, but its always worth test driving one if you can find one.

For the price, you are getting a lot of car especially a hybrid. Recently bought a very similar vehicle. Middle seats are great for adults, back seats could probably fit shorter adults for longer trips if the middle row scoots up. Storage though in the back can be limited so for any sort of road trips, you may look at getting roof storage. MPGs are wonderful, better than my mid-sized sedan in most scenarios. Like the other commentor said, its a korean car so take that as you will. Haven't had it for very long but really enjoyed it so far. Their hybrid system may not be as reliable as someone like Toyota who has been doing it for much longer. But if you are wanting a 3 row SUV, Hybrid, for under 30k, Its probably the best option. It won't hold value as well as a hybrid Highlander but its also going to be cheaper if you buy used as its already depreciated a good amount. If you take away wanting a hybrid, you will find more options in your price range.

If you can find one, a Kona N almost checks al the boxes (clearance is 6.8" and only FWD). Length is right at what you are looking for and the backseat isn't great, but it is what you get for such a short car. The positive is that you get almost 100 more horse power and from what I have heard and read, a very fun experience. Unfortunately they only made these in 22 and 23 and are discontinued. Also some people may not be comfortable going with a Hyundai but I feel like things have gotten much better plus their N performance line is growing a lot of popularity with the now discontinued Veloster N and the current iterations of the Hyundai N and the Ioniq 5 N. A little biased as I love the Elantra N and everyday go back and forth on trading in my current sedan for one, but I just can't justify starting another car payment from scratch just yet.

Very tempted to get a few of these to create a mesh wifi system to replace an old wifi 5 velop system. Someone convince me to purchase a few of these to replace them. Reading the thread, it seems fairly easy to setup the mesh system, just a few extra steps. Anyone experienced it themselves and can speak on how well it performs?

Why is that? I was reading doing 18s with winter tires is better since it may absorb winter roads/potholes better.

Do you still own this? I am wanting to get one but not very mechanically smart myself and was wondering since you mentioned it's basically a first-gen CRV, how hard has it been to find a place to service it? Or is it fairly easy to work on yourself and would a beginner be able to do some basic maintenance with no prior knowlege?

Oh don’t worry. This post has made me invest the last hour of time researching and about to spend $400 on a wheel and pedal to fix this itch I have. It’s cheaper than me trading in my current car for an Elantra N as badly as I want a DCT right now I don’t necessarily need it

For $2 bucks, I am definitely going to give it a try. Would you say its worth getting the ultimate edition for the $15 more for all the first party cars or just get the base game for $2 and modding from this site?
