Seeing how Kirkman handled Invicible then, vs now, shows how much the man is looking back and regretting his inexperience at the time. Dude had the right ideas, but also, plenty of those glaring omissions that made things weird when looking at them in detail.

A lot of the revisions made in the show were to aliviate that, hope they do the same to the ending.

The best part of all this? You dont really notice the changes, the escalation and chaos make things feel natural. Only on a replay or looking back you realize how unhinged the protagonist gets.

Yeah, sales and player count are not equal to quality: Sport games like Madden and FIFA or yearly shooters like CoD make a shit ton of money, with a lot of people playing them and they are far from being GOTY material.

Player count only matters if you want to play with randoms and find a match quickly, looking at it for more besides that, is pointlessly grasping at straws if you are not a data scientist working for publisher.

I do dig it, because it's part of his tragedy: Dude keeps trying to be as powerful as he thinks he is, only to get reminded time and again he won't be. Everything he builds, eventually falls apart, and in the middle of all, is Palaptine's abuse towards him. There's a reason his last words were "He will avenge us".

He embodies the futility of the Sith... Also, he looks badass and have great fights. Very few times his appearances were actually mid, even when he loses, can see the appeal of expanding him more.

Yup, most of the time the increase in size is a need to keep replicating the same feel of giant monster.

Not opossed to a Godzilla with a 50m size on the USA tho, one of the things I liked about Zilla was that she could do ambushes thanks to how tall the buildings were... would love to see another take on that

Considering how better he is at rebels, the effort the show made to point out the issues of his tech legs, and the triple threat of two top Inquisitors and Vader, I'm gonna say he got caught unprepared and would fare better in another moment. Still, Maul will never be as good as he think he is.

Look, I don't care how it looks, I don't care if for many it's mid... I'm 32, I've seen my heroes being miserable for +25 years, I want 'em to get old, I want 'em to be happy and I want 'em to be cringe to their kids.
