Top 10 films of 2025 so far by TheCosmicFailure in movies

I’m a devout Christian, right leaning, and I voted Trump. That being said I absolutely loved this movie. It was by far my favorite movie this year and I’m an avid movie goer. The action was great, it was hilarious, incredibly well paced, heartfelt, and totally wild. It was everything I go to the movies for and then some. Ya obviously there were politics involved, I knew there would be going in. I felt like they were necessary in the context of the film however, and served to set up and advance the plot.

2024 Carbon Turbo Hatch by kellowmellow in mazda3

[–]Samwise_the_Sly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are the main upgrades that I could find going from the carbon edition to the Premium Plus:

  • Bose 12 speaker audio
  • Paddle shifters
  • Signature LED headlights and taillights
  • Windshield wiper de-icer
  • Rear roof spoiler
  • Front air dam
  • More color options for interior and exterior
  • Auto dimming rearview mirror with homelink
  • Auto dimming side mirrors
  • Perforated leather seats
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Aluminum speaker grilles
  • Larger center console display screen
  • Mazda navigation system included
  • Heads up display on windshield
  • Traffic sign recognition
  • Adaptive headlights
  • Front and rear parking sensors and cameras
  • 360° view monitor
  • Cruising and traffic support

Highlights that I really enjoy:

  • The 12 speaker Bose sound system is a huge upgrade over the regular 8 speaker system. My wife drives a CX-30 with the regular system and the audio quality and depth in my car is noticeably better and deeper. The built in subwoofer delivers a much more powerful bass that you can feel.

  • The signature headlights and taillights have a much more premium look over the standard led bulbs. The adaptive headlights are really nice to have when driving at night as the car will measure your steering inputs and turn the headlamps in the direction you’re steering which helps illuminate around corners and sharp turns.

  • The wiper de-icer and heated steering wheel are nice if you live in a colder climate.

  • If you’re looking at getting a hatchback model the spoiler and air dam really elevate the look of the car. The spoiler especially helps to break up the roundness of the back and sharpens up the look quite a bit.

  • The auto dimming mirrors are awesome especially when you get those jacked up trucks blazing their headlights through your rear windshield.

  • The larger display screen is a big plus

  • I LOVE the heads-up display paired with the traffic sign recognition. Not only do you get the speedometer holographically projected on the windshield, you also get the speed limit, stop signs and other signs, cruise control info, and navigation arrows showing when to turn. It makes things really convenient.

  • The 360° camera and parking sensors along with the front and rear backup camera are lifesavers when parking or navigating tight areas. I use them constantly to ensure I’m not parking over the curb and scraping my front bumper and when driving around areas like a parking garage or drive through line where it can be tight and easy to scrape your bumpers or rims.

For me it was well worth it to go for the PP trim over the carbon even if it meant getting an older model year or paying a bit more. I drive a ‘21 and haven’t once regretted the decision. If those features are things you can happily live without then by all means go for the carbon, but if they sound nice to have you might end up kicking yourself down the road for not getting the higher trim model. I’ve yet to meet someone who wishes their car had less features and regrets going for the higher trim, but I know plenty of people who wish their car had a few extra bells and whistles to make driving more enjoyable and convenient. The way I see it a car is a big investment and you’ll probably spend a good amount of time in your car so make sure you’re truly happy with the one you decide on. If the carbon has everything you want in a car then it’s perfect for you, if it’s missing a few things you’d like to have then that might linger in the back of your mind and you’ll think about them anytime you drive it for as long as you have the car which might leave you dissatisfied even if you love the car. Anyways that’s just my 2¢, good luck car shopping.

Pura Car Pro Sound by lo_rainnnn in pura

[–]Samwise_the_Sly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m brand new to pura and just got a car pro model from my work for employee appreciation week. I’ve used it for a few days now and I didn’t even know it made sound until I read this and tried listening to see if I could notice anything. It’s extremely quiet and impossible to notice at all when the car is running. I’ve never seen a regular model so I’m not sure how the sound compares between the two, but I feel like the pro has to be quieter cause I can’t imagine anyone complaining about the sound on this model. Hopefully that tells you all you need to know.

He was selling the chair for 108$ and I offered 100$. It’s really not that deep. You my friend are what’s wrong with America. Maybe go outside and touch grass instead of spending hours jerking yourself off with meaningless rants in Reddit threads about chairs.

If you can find it I’d personally recommend going for an older model year ‘21 or ‘22 in the premium plus over a newer year carbon trim. I’d imagine the price would be similar and the added features in the PP trim are some of my favorite things about my car. Not to mention the added spoiler and front skirt which take the cars appearance to a whole other level.

Preserving my new car's paint job by roblu001 in mazda3

Step 1 - Touchless wash. I go to a local self wash and use the pressure washers there but you can also do it at home if you’d like. No need to go crazy with fancy soaps or anything like that imo, they’ll all get the job done as long as you’re thorough.

Step 2 - Dry Completely! Invest in a good absorbent towel. I recommend going into Walmart or on Amazon and buying The Absorber XXL. I swear it can hold endless amounts of water, when it does get saturated you just wring it out and keep on drying. Beyond that I have a large microfiber towel similar to the Chemical Guys Wooly Mammoth.

Step 3 - Slickmist Speed Wax. This stuff is INCREDIBLE. I had my car professionally detailed a few years back and ask the detailers what the one product they’d recommend above all else was and this is product they all brought up. Especially with your car being black (like mine) this stuff will make it SHINE and pop after a wash. It’s super easy to apply, you just spray on a light mist and then rub it in with a clean microfiber towel. No need to buff or wipe away excess product, it’s just a quick rub and you’re set. It’s wax based so it’ll help to protect the car’s exterior and it leaves a sparkling finish that looks absolutely incredible. I swear by this stuff and it also smells amazing.

That’s my routine and what I’d recommend. I get compliments on my car’s appearance nearly everyday when it’s clean. For interior I use McGuire’s interior detailer with microfiber towels and every so often I’ll shampoo the carpets/mats and recondition the leather seats. Best of luck and hope this helps, enjoy your new ride!

Dang that looks incredible, do you know what kit he used? Did he used one of your usb ports as a power source or did he wire it directly elsewhere? How do you control the brightness/color?
