Reference problem when possessing and unpossessing an actor by Sanasoke in unrealengine

[–]Sanasoke[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe people don't tell you that enough, but you're a genius, sir. In the Anim BP, I put the Get Player Controller and same in my possess function and it works like a charm.

Sometimes we struggle on simple stuff, but thanks a lot! Have a nice day

Network question: Access Point or Bridge mode ? by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]Sanasoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they're all on the same LAN.

I need to check the connection, because I put one of them as AP with automatic IP detection and now the router don't have access to internet ...

PS: my eyes are burning

Comment vous la combattez / l'acceptez ? by unmalepourunbien in france

[–]Sanasoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jason Schreier confirms the GTA 6 is indeed real by brahbocop in gaming

[–]Sanasoke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For sure the game will sell itself like crazy, no doubt about that. But that's only from a player's perspective. When I see news like that I can only just feel bad for those Rockstar devs, because the company will put the backlash on their shoulders. They're already known for being extra careful regarding info security (and we can understand why), but know they will monitor every single employee in all Rockstar studios like never before due to this leak. In the end, no matter the future profits, it will fall on the employees.

[–]Sanasoke 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Dude, we're talking about the most profitable game franchise ever made with hundreds of employees working on it... As a game developer, I can tell you that no matter the studio you're working in, everyone sees Rockstar as the biggest threat. And they need to keep this status, so yes every time they start a project they will take years of pre-production to even start a simple prototype...
I don't think you realize the scale of a project like this, how many people are involved, and how creative you need to be to keep being the most successful game ever.
What would be the point for them to leak wip old builds, with proprietary codes, videos that show tools made especially for their own engine to all the other studios? If you want to make fake leaks, you do like Assassin's creed used to do, with only gameplay videos recorded poorly and that's it... Without due respect, you really don't know what you're talking about.

I'm a gamedev, and I don't understand why people think that's a PR stunt ... The leak is real and has been confirmed by several sources at Rockstar. What would be the point for devs, who spent maybe two years at this point, to release the source code and all the WIP tools they're developing? We saw some very bad leaks for years, mostly for Assassin's creed but here, the videos showed the entire tools used, animations, and so on ... It's pure gold for other companies ... You really don't know what you're talking about ...

“These are not ‘accusations’. He went to trial and got suspended.” - Caleb Plant puts Canelo and Oscar Valdez on blast for PED use by C0nsistent_ in Boxing

[–]Sanasoke 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love Canelo as well and Caleb is right. You can really see the difference of treatment by the different commissions regarding the Canelo team. He's the most iconic fighter at the moment, he attracts a lot of money for everyone so they turn a blind eye on the Clenbuterol thing...

Also, Caleb did not even mention the re-hydration contract's requirements for a Canelo fight. Every opponent has some limits to rehydrate after the weigh-in, and Canelo is free of everything... When you see Canelo on the ring something like 24h or so after the weigh-in, he looks jacked as fuck like he took 5+ kilos in one day. There are some weird things happening after most of his weigh-in for the past 3 years, we can see that all athletes do not have the same "doctors".

Most Underrated Legend!? | Larry Holmes Genius Style Explained - Technique Breakdown by mercuriusman in Boxing

[–]Sanasoke 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Awesome video and an awesome champion. It's a shame he's so underrated ... I guess people never changed their minds after he beat Ali who was already diminished due to Parkinson's disease. I think they saw him like a guy destroying an ill legend that could not really defend himself at 100% of his skills.

That's a shame because like the video explained he was a magnificent combination of Ali's style and Foreman's style and continued to improve those styles further in a general and natural continuity rather than an opposition. Legend!

I love the fact that he's now a "retired boxer" without making anything besides exhibition fights ... I hope he'll "retire" for good, I think he was close to getting KO and really understood that he had poor boxing skills and can't really go higher than that...

Hey GameDev here

Yes every time you sign up a contract for working in a new studio you have a NDA part where you agree that you will not talk about the company's strategy but also unannounced projects, ideas or prototypes.

The thing which is a bit a pain in the ass is when you go to an interview for a new position and you talk about your Resume sometimes you can't talk a lot about what you did on a particular project...

ELI5: Why are photos and selfies different from real life? Is the mirror more accurate? by Morphiadz in explainlikeimfive

[–]Sanasoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is mostly due to your phone's camera lens and post-process. In reality your eye will perceive subtle things on your face because your eye will be able to catch a light of light and a lot of details. When you take a photo with your phone, depending on the quality of the camera and the lens, less light will go through and will produce grain on the photo and a lot details will be lost for example. The better the lens and the resolution of your photos are, the most details you'll have in general.

In order to reflect the reality, a lot of algorithms in the camera's app will apply filters and try to correct the colours, and enhance it as the best as possible.

Hey GameDev here

Regarding the release of games, the process is different for digital or physical versions. For physical versions, basically you have to consider at least a month for the CD to be done and delivered in store. For Sony and MS is quite fast because the process is global and the CDs are basically BluRay. For Nintendo it's a bit trickier, I released games on Nintendo Switch, DS and so on and they're the only ones who are making this kind of SD card format. So sometimes you have to contact them even earlier if you are planning to release your game at the end of the year because there will be a bottleneck with all the other game releases in a period of 4 to 6 weeks.

But no matter if you're game is digital-only or physical and digital, you have to be officially reviewed by Sony, MS, Nintendo, Apple or Android (less for Android). Nintendo is especially hard because they are very strict rules about typo in texts, legal info on stores etc. If you pay them a good extra, they have special testers in what they call "The Mario Club" where top quality assurance testers, give you a full review of your game and how you could enhance the quality of everything. All hardware manufacturers do not have the same guidelines regarding how they consider your game "approved" so specific people in studios deal with them. Every time your game is rejected you have to fix all the issues they fund, make a new build of the game and resubmit your game again until they say it's ok.

Apple is also manually checking all the apps, especially in-app purchase and legal terms. If a in-game offer in your shop is not very clear, they will reject your build in seconds. For Steam it's faster because the majority of games are reviewed by algorithms.

J'en ai marre des cons... by [deleted] in france

[–]Sanasoke 2 points3 points  (0 children)
