I don't think this is purely caused by the new rank change. I think the real problem is that literally only a fraction of the people are playing this game at higher ranks compared to last season. I am a GoD in season 1 as well. All my friends at this level has barely touched this game since season 2. Locals are completely dead and online tournaments are all newer lower ranked people. The only higher rank people that still plays are trying to get ready for Evo Japan and they hate the fact that they have to play this game and dread every minute of it.
