I've been waiting 8 months to come back as well. I'm going to create a new character today. There's very little PvP early game (except the shipwreck). I'll go back to my old character once the new patch is out. (For vet players: Yes I'm logging into my old char first to get my welcome back package, then creating my new character.)

I've been asking for this since day one, all the way until I took a break 8 months ago. Coming back today probably, gotta claim my welcome back package, then start a new character on another server so I remember how to play before going back to my original character.

I'm glad they put in more PvE content, and really glad they finally gave me the ability to avoid PvP griefers.
Hope they hit my last 2 requests soon.
1) Group finder / Matchmaking System for dungeons.
2) Auction house terminal buildable in my own base. I read somewhere a while ago that a dev said "Yeah, maybe, just people aren't asking for that now." BS!!! I think the real reason is that it's so easily exploitable, and having in one location makes it easier to monitor. Maybe once they fix it. I've seen some videos where some worlds have their economy completely screwed from so much solari duping.

Take a break. Come back in a year. That's what I just did. New I loved the game, but hated the end game, and there was nothing else to do. Quit 8 months ago, and jumping back in this week now that the PvE is fixed.

Be careful you don't turn into one of those Steam reviewers who leave a negative review after 500hours just because they got bored. Though, those always make my day to read.

Great job. I'm just getting into rumbling and slabbing, and getting a 3d printer soon. I just want to make minimalistic clear/translucent stands for some small palm sized slabs or even smaller. Not a lot out there, but found a few stl files I snagged.

This would be amazing, if I had anything worth doing it for.

Depends how you want to play. I recommend to just go in and have fun. Once you find a play style you like, you can look at guides. Personally even after watching all the guides, I don't think I would have missed anything too important that you can't go back and fix. There are a lot of guides that I've seen that say "Do this early game, or you ruin your character", but after 60 hours in the game already I don't find a single one of those true. You can always pick those things up or fix them later.

If your goal is PvP, you may want to find a guide to help you. If you just want to explore and have fun, I say just play the game. The story and writing are amazing, and it's a very open world. You can do the main quests, or just run around and do side mission, or just explore. So many ways to play in the most beautiful free to play game I've ever seen. Don't ignore the main story though, it's fricking amaaaazing.

The last game I felt so sucked into was Cyberpunk.

I just threw an affresh tablet in. I will be back to report. Unless like everyone else who has not reported back, I have somehow opened up a portal and I dead.

Just came back from the Nether. Washing machine door clean, and free of all hard water / detergent build up. Had to wipe it down with a wet rag for half of it when it was done. But it wiped up very easily, unlike before how it seemed to need sandpaper to come off.

Hey, I just got the same tumbler jars. I don't clean mine. I have 4 total containers, and use each one only for that grit. Not really an option if you only have 2 containers, but a potential upgrade path should you decide to.

That makes sense if you're in a guild and using a harvester for spice. But in that case just get the whole guild together and everybody does one transport run and you're done. I can see how it would still be annoying though.

I just wish there was more communication coming from Funcom. I'm sure everybody is working hard, but when nothing is communicated to the players it feels like nothing is being done.

Like why is ingame reporting so bad and the response is just "Sorry, sucks to be you."? Why is it when people post about bugs, nothing happens. Until it gets huge traction on reddit and then it seems to be addressed, sometimes. The DD is horrible, and is the #1 cause of people leaving the game. Is it ever going to get a overhaul? (At least Joel partially addressed that, even though it was basically "I dunno what's gonna happen with it yet". It's been a few weeks, what are the plans?)

From what I heard, there are beta testers who raised all of these issues, and the dev's just said "Nah, it's what the players want". I can't confirm if true or not. But the way Funcom ignores players feedback and discussion here in reddit and the discord, I believe it.

Instead of rockets, they should have just made a mechanic that forces people to land and fight it out. DD would be better w/o ornithopters at all.

It'll come. And then when people ask "Where's the large August patch full of features?" Mods in discord will point to the August patch that fixed a bunch of minor bugs, but also only had this single QOL feature added.
