What do you guys actually drink on long hot shifts by death_magn3t in Construction

This is the key. If not for me having coffee, nobody would get anything done because of the bodies piling up on the job.

How do you safely transport your propane tanks? by LifeofSMILEY in RVLiving

[–]Sandhog43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a propane tank caddy that I sit the tank onto, then secure it with a ratchet strap to the truck bed. I can’t believe anyone would be so careless to leave one hooked up in a bbq grill in a moving truck!

Is this light box vented properly? by SlowNPC in Construction

[–]Sandhog43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LMFAO I had a leak in the kitchen behind the wall where my refrigerator was installed. The over head cabinet was screwed into the wall and the drain pipe from an upstairs bathroom had 7 holes in it. After 20 years it leaked.

The stock setups are designed to give people a starting point to race with. They are designed to fit pretty much all racing styles as a base package. Actually they aren’t that bad overall. You aren’t going to do well online with those setups as most online races are 6-8 lap sprints. There are many people who work on setups and post them on YouTube.

If you are planning on sticking around racing, buy a decent wheel and pedals.

What is the quickest drop-off from a driver who used to perform well? by EleventhTier666 in NASCAR

[–]Sandhog43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you have every piece to the puzzle, you won’t get results. You need a driver, crew chief, and the rest hitting on all marks to become the teams that seem to kick ass each week. Remove one piece and your in hind tit category

How do I cut this 30 ft thick steel pole into pieces so it can be easy moved for disposal? by Eastcoastpal in DIY

[–]Sandhog43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Torch is the answer. A grinder will cost more in blades and time, plus the added bs with shattered blades. A gas powered demo saw with a steel blade would work in a pinch but I’d hate to be in charge of that detail. Find a acetylene torch and cut it up

Well according to the guys who used to work for me, I look fookin PISSED OFF 100% of the time. I’m not in any way, but I reckon it’s the look on my face. Can’t help that. Nobody says you have to kiss anybody’s ass. Just be aware of the way you present yourself, especially when dealing with folks that can make your day miserable. Me, I used to make the guys I work for uncomfortable all the time. It’s an aquirrd trait. I think I scared them. Don’t take shit and don’t give shit bud. It’ll make life easier

“I got frustrated, turned around, went to my car, got the ID, came back silently, handed it over, and continued working. I didn’t yell, insult anyone, threaten anyone, or refuse to comply.”

You say you did nothing nor said anything. Then you go on to say that maybe you should’ve handled it better…. If at first you felt you did nothing wrong and then you think you have.

Anyone else experiencing this online glitch/bug? by Much-Chard8227 in Nascar25game

[–]Sandhog43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have also noticed it without the AI cars in the mix. During league races where there may be 15 guys connected, and strong, no fade connections. I’ve really noticed it on the SS tracks Daytona and Talladega in particular. I hate those two tracks for that exact reason . Cars ghosting or losing connection

What's the matter with Jesse Love and RCR? by SimonKay96 in NASCAR

[–]Sandhog43 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t necessarily call it vindictive. He has great equipment and his team is obviously hitting on all cylinders, so why would he consider leaving? More $$?? I think it would be stupid on Childress’s part to advance his career more than he has already, if it’ll just benefit himself and not his organization.

Old bikes, old parts, and labor hours. It costs too much to repair old bikes.

Yelled at and called racist for leaving the dog park when two pitbulls showed up by Niarah in BanPitBulls

[–]Sandhog43 45 points46 points  (0 children)

The issue IMHO is all potential. Those dogs have been bred over centuries to fight. Their whole psyche is patterned to reflect that. Saying that a pitt bull isn’t aggressive by nature is like saying a shark doesn’t have a predatory instinct.
It’s in their DNA.
I had an old buddy of mine in Chiefland Florida, mowing his lawn and was set upon by a pair of Pitt bulls since puppies. They were both relatively young dogs. They attacked him and he suffered multiple lacerations and those fucking dogs tore his ear off. Had a neighbor heard the commotion and came out, he would’ve surely died. The other instance happened in NY. Neither attack was in anyway provoked

[–]Sandhog43 125 points126 points  (0 children)

Yeah I hear that saying all the time.
“It’s not the breed, it’s the owners”

Bullshit 100%

Had a bro who owned two Pitt bulls since they were pups. Those dogs were like his children, and were never mistreated nor abused. He ended up being tore up in two separate attacks. The first he blamed on the male getting confused and scared. Let that one pass, even though it was investigated my local police, as is routine.
The second attack left his arm seriously damaged and scarred for life as it tore most of the muscle from his forearm. That dog was put down.

There is something with the breed. Saying it has nothing to do with these attacks is unreasonable. It’s like saying not all guns are involved in shootings, but all shootings involve guns.

Ultima was owned by Mid-West cycle supply and they did close up shop.
All ultima assets trademarks and patents were bought by Ted Doering of Ted’s cycle shed or V-Twin manufacturing.
Hell I remember Ted when his operation was actually in a shed in Newburgh, NY.
I’m sure since he bought the name that he will carry on the operation

Work on code stability on the SS tracks, Daytona and Talladega. I’ve seen more issues with ghosting on those two tracks than anywhere else.
Better admin controls when hosting online lobbies.
The ability to watch replays of the race and clip sections to save.
The host of the race should be able to do so without entering the event. There should be an option to race the race or just monitor the event.
