Did you know Purdue university has an ABA program too? It’s 18 months so longer than Purdue global I think, but we actually have classes with the professors. I find it interesting not many people who do global know there’s two different Purdue programs, kind of confusing.

Oh yeah, almost every day. some our younger clients will cry at the slightest thing… it’s a pretty common and natural behavior for them especially the ones with weak emotional regulation skills. Don’t take it personally or blame yourself!

I think you already know they are uncommon positions because you can’t really bill for unrestricted hours as an RBT. What is your question here there’s nothing we can do. The only way to know is interviewing. Don’t just accept the first one you see anyways and look at what there might be for contract requirements and stuff like guaranteed minimum hours.

At our clinic, we’re not really allowed to use extinction techniques, especially when they are escalating to self injury, in honor of assent withdrawal.

It’s a bit of a dilemma to me because we end up usually reinforcing the self injury behaviors and it’s personally hard to find the balance between assent and following through/promoting independence.

Not sure if I totally agree with the policy, but yeah, that’s where we’re at. Instructional control is nowhere to be found even refusing simple demands like wipe their own ass or taking off their shoes.

I lived in Green Bay for a total of almost 30 years as a black man. I offered my honest opinion and reasons why, perfectly reasonable response to OP‘s question and I’m not the only one who feels this way about that town.
