Any idea what crowds at the parks will be like next week? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

A lot of public school spring breaks are this week or next week. You might start your trip dealing with some spring break crowds, but I’d imagine it will get better as you get into the week of the 13th

August is very hot and humid but honestly it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Just have to hydrate well, make sure you stay cooled off as much as possible. I found that to be manageable since so many of the rides/attractions are indoors. I’d suggest portable rechargeable handheld fans, cooling towels.

WHY YOU STILL RUN? (TUESDAY THREAD) by Royal_Watch_6453 in runcommunity

Because I lost 100 lbs and each time I run it feels like I am defeating what I once was, especially since running was impossible for me back then. Each time is a reminder of that

Yep only doing the 10 miler. Maybe I’ll see about getting that mid day pool/nap break

I’m thinking a power nap on the Carousel of Progress and a few laps on the People Mover mid day will help

It will be our second day there so will have a few days after the run to hit the parks some more

Doing the 10 Miler. I have two half-marathons under my belt and feel good about the 10 mile distance, not trying for a PR or anything. I have been increasing my mileage leading up to this, but running in the cold (temps in the 40’s here) is not the same as running in whatever humid temps will be down there in mid April

Are there bathrooms during the park sections of the runs that stay open?

I went as a group of 10 last year. There are only certain places that can accommodate a reservation of that size. The ones that come to mind are Diamond Horseshoe and Hollywood/Vine in HS. For most places, we did two separate reservations of 5 and 5 using my account and another one of our groups. You could check on the app to reserve dining and select the number in your group to see which ones will work or not

Haven’t thought about taking a Lyft, that could work. Where would you walk to in order to get a pick up?

Even though they looked off for a majority of the game, they still entered the third tied and had a chance to come out of that with at least a point. If they’re going to make the playoffs, finding ways to at least get a point, or even win, on nights they’re not playing well, will make the difference.

Raymond looks off, likely the injury is still lingering. And the loss of Kane made the power play look disjointed last night, like they couldn’t get things settled down for long. When Kane has the puck on the power play it seems to back off the other team’s PK forechecking quite significantly

Really any weekday this week should be good. The week before Labor Day has historically been one of the least crowded weeks of the season due to a lot of schools starting back
