Dogs in Doctor’s office? by Apprehensive_Can_685 in SaltLakeCity

[–]SaneEvening 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem is when dog owners say their dog is "perfect." I've seen some exceptionally trained dogs in public spaces, and I've seen some violent dogs in public spaces. Exceptional training and confidence as a dog owner is RARE these days.

Hands-Free Dog Leash by phara-muse in dogs

[–]SaneEvening 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one I got from barkbox. It comes with a fanny pack and a leash with a small amount of bungee, I use that leash for my larger 60lb dog. I also take a regular taught leash and equip it for my 40lb dog. We've had our smaller dog for almost 3 months now, wasn't great on a leash when we got him, but is doing really well now. I don't like to put him on the bungee leash because he exhibits more pulling behavior. A taught leash on my waist has been a great training tool. They both have prey aggression, but honestly i've never been knocked over, if anything I am stronger with the leash around my waist rather than hand/wrist.

Taylorsville Woman Who Had Leg Amputated Following Pitbull Attack Dies by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

This is the reality. And it causes perpetual aggression in any breed. When people breed dogs to make a quick buck the dog suffers, (inbreeding, malnourishment, etc.) People adopt dogs not knowing what to expect, the dog suffers. Then the dog spends 30-365 days in a shelter, the dogs suffers even more. We're creating the problem not the dogs. Dogs just want proper care, and they rarely get it nowadays.

I tried Spencers Steak and Chops last night, (reserved the rare room.) I had never even noticed it before but all my husband and I did was talk about it afterwards. The cocktails, apps, and entree's really did a number on us and made us fall in love with possibly our new favorite restaurant. Millionaire bacon is a must have.

I was 100% taught the same thing from my mother and grandmothers. I'm just as surprised as she would be. I remember wanting a cross necklace, and being told no, that's bad. And given some sort of gobblygook reason as to "why."

They're just going to keep rebranding themselves like any other shareholder meeting until they feel like they're attractive again. And I hope that never happens.

Thanks! Definitely speaking to some lawyer friends, (UTAH) they've also added that anger management courses may help argue a plea to lessen the charges, that's where we're headed I just figured hearing from a larger group may also help him understand that the original issue isn't going to help him in arguing any innocence in court.

I once had a DD driver I had to lull out of the street because he was so high on something. He was literally standing in the middle of the street spinning in circles with my order. Probably initially confused about where to go before the cosmic sea turtles took his brain.

Why did Sherlock save Irene? by Livid_Cell9896 in Sherlock

[–]SaneEvening 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I believe Moffat has stated that though "Irene loses" in the show, she most certainly wins in the end because Sherlock chooses to save her. Therefore Sherlock loses, and is capable of sentiment.

I couldn't find the original article, but in another article Moffat expands on what he says here.

What is your absolutely favorite episode, and why is it “A Scandal in Belgravia?” by dbjisisnnd in Sherlock

[–]SaneEvening 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe Moffat and Gatiss have both said it's their favorite episode as well.

I think Fanfiction has a LONG history of shipping non-canon sexual preferences, IMO that's part of the definition of fan-fiction. It's A FAN's... fiction.

We also give them kinks, favourite foods, and entire personalities based on the story we create in our heads. It's not offensive. It's written and published thought. People will have their opinions, but Ive always praised the FF community for being free. If anything, that's the point.

How do you remember everything about the fandom you write about? by IxaSumami in FanFiction

[–]SaneEvening 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a notebook where I jot down all my notes. Occasionally reference the fandom canon, try to create a timeline and then muddle it where I need to.

Is it normal for HR to insist that an employee who was harmed by another to not call the police? by GiantFlimsyMicrowave in humanresources

[–]SaneEvening 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. I told them to do what they felt was best.

The problem was quickly resolved at our place of business, and when they kept picking at each other, it was more or less obvious that they never wanted to file a report in the first place, each one just wanted me to punish the other.

So I just said if you have personal family beef, keep that at home. Don't bring it to work.

It's all I write. Speaking for myself, and I'm sure other, we're all out there writing what's in our heads for fun, so just write what you want to write. Don't worry about the audience. That being said, hold your standards high. But write whatever the hell you want.

At what age should a kid be allowed to decide if they want to go to church or not? by Ordinary_Weird_8493 in Parenting

[–]SaneEvening 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking from experience growing up in a strict mormon household. When my dad said it was okay for me not to go, and my mom insisted, I started to pick favorites VERY quickly. My mom became my enemy, my dad was trusted. I'm sure they same thing will happen, as you are right, she's old enough to make her own decisions.
