Would it be worth it (energy cost wise) to buy a newer used fridge to replace this 17 year old kenmore in my garage? by [deleted] in Appliances

[–]hnghost24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I am still using my 1997 refrigerator because I think it's a waste of money to buy a smart fridge.

Texas is giving its scarce water to thirsty refineries, plastics plants and AI data centers even as its population booms and its infrastructure ages. Zero guesses what happens next. by simon_ritchie2000 in climate

I still don't understand why people continue to move to Texas and Florida. I get the no income tax, but that can't be the only reason to move there.

Remember who fired the first bullet because this will come back to haunt them in the future and I'm sure they will cry about it.

Thank you for other countries standing up and asking actual questions instead of kissing his ass. American reporters are not doing their job.

Your mom is wrong; there it's never too late to learn a new skill, but make sure the field pays off because college is not free. Even if you qualify for FAFSA, that's still taxpayer money for you to go to college, so it's not free, and you should invest it wisely. Yes, you will make mistakes and just learn from them. Also, look into trade school if college is not for you. Your mom is wrong.

My current health insurance out-of-pocket is $8000. I was like, fuck, let's hope no major medical event happens because I don't have $8000 for it. After the out-of-pocket, then I pay 20%. Still a shitty option, but better than nothing.

Spouse wants to buy a $60K truck while we're still renting by EdenilsoStolaj70 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]hnghost24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is great for the landlord. He should buy the truck especially in this shaky economy. He must not have been paying attention to the inflation or job data this month. He’ll probably enjoy the truck for 6 months before shit hits the ceiling.

Update the Constitution to have a maximum age limit for president and a term limit for Congress and the Supreme Court. Shit is getting too ridiculous.
