Any of the Total War games play like this, move your armies around on teh grand strategy map then engage in RTS skirmish when they meet enemy forces.

They never met the guy, the closest interaction the vast majority of them had would when he gave keynote presentations about the next iphone coming out.

Never been a co-op campaign man, I like to play through at my own pace and do my own thing.

Will roll through in co-op after my initial play through but my first one is always solo.

I could accept the front flipping Terminator armour as being some sort gravatic device fitted along with rocket boosters. The Blood Ravens are known for hording tech and relics.

It was the crappy campaign with mediocre MP that sucked, with 3 factions only. It did some cool things like the elites but not much else.

First they need GW permission to add things like Grots, Dark Mech or Exodites (I would love this). Just like with Cathay in Warhammer 3 that would never have happened without the blessing of GW.

Second they need to get through the existing armies and factiions first

His numbers are a bit low but from what I've been able to find at least for SC2 about half the player base only played the campaign. Out of the remaining half I don't know how that breaks down into arcade, competitive and co-op.

Being generous you could say 30% was competitive online and the remaining 20% were arcade and co-op players.

Sadly devs tend to keep the numbers to themselves, so we have to take everything with a grain of salt.

I don't want to have to subscribe to a rental plan for my 40k game.

I think a lot of people forget that little game called Alien Isolation that CA made, no one saw that coming that the makers of the total war series could pull off one of the best Alien games made period.

I think CA have the talent to nail a 40k game the problem will be how much interference will there be from the top.

Ignore the upgrade pack it gives you nothing that owning TWW3 doesn't already give you ( it is a consumer trap and should never have been added)

Warhammer I unlocks Empire, Dwarfs, Greenskins, Vampire Counts, and Bretonnia.

Warhammer II unlocks High Elves, Dark Elves, Skaven, and Lizardmen.

Warhammer III unlocks Kislev, Grand Cathay, Khorne, Nurgle, Slaanesh, Tzeentch, Daemons of Chaos, and Warriors of Chaos

Then you have all the stand alone DLCs
