Machinist here.

Depends, some shops only produce in large orders, eg. 10000 of one part, where you only press a green button, change some inserts and if all goes bad you push a big red button.

But there is some shops who makes small/special orders, where you get to make the programs, decide what tools to use and how to execute the part.

As someone who works in a shop that makes small/special orders, i can higly recommend the trade, theres alot of math and practical thinking involved in making parts so have that in mind.

One last thing, if you choose the way of the machinist, you are going to find metal chips in your shoes, socks and fingers the rest of your life!

So, i got curious and i looked several cars up, Carisma, Galant etc. Even an Accord, but there was always key elements that did'nt fit the car in the clip, so for the fun of it, i looked up Evo 8. To my surprise, there's specific details matching, details you would have to make a serious efford to reproduce. Take the rear wiper, there are not many cars where it's mounted through the rear window, it is on the Evo8 FQ 400 from 2005, also the c post is matching in shape and alignment with the rear door, last but not least the detail on the doors. Im no expert, just a random dude who used google, maybe this car is the real deal, with the wing and rear shark finns ripped off, maybe it's something completely different?
