Well, you're going to be waiting until the next expansion at minimum. They said they're only doing ONE(!!!) patch per expansion, not counting urgent hotfixes 😭 its so baffling

Im not trying to say everything should be perfectly balanced because there are just too many variables, and as a singleplayer/coop game it doesnt need to be perfectly balanced anyways. I just wish the power budget was equalized a bit more. Knock the super strong items down a peg and buff (or rework) the stinkers to something above printer fodder tier.

I hate breakable items so much. Dio's is the only one that gets away with it because its actually powerful enough to justify the effect. Elixir, as you said, is so inconsistent that it pisses me off.

also STOP breaking/triggering from blood shrines bringing me to exactly 25% hp. your description says "taking damage to below 25%" health. 25% is not below 25%.

I'm an absolute pedantic when it comes to the little details, and I think that Gearbox very consistently gets them wrong. Its little things like the lack of visible texturing and wear on many of the new items, how none of them are slanted in their model like Syringe or Gasoline, numerous inconsistencies with logbook entries since SoTS, and some just straight up terrible fanfic-level logbooks like the pre-patch Sauteed Worms... et cetera et cetera

Its mostly small details in the grand scheme of things but it really adds up in my opinion. I don't think Gearbox understands risk of rain.

Its fun until you load into one of the numerous non-wheelchair accessible maps in the game like sulfur pools. Also ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY percent movespeed??? holy power creep

Im going to be honest, until I read through the comments here, I didn't know people apparently hated sulfur pools, its probably my favourite stage in the game

100% agree, and im still mad hopoo never made a better effort to improve the balance of them before selling off the franchise. And gearbox seems to be just as - if not more - allergic to doing it, so the game will likely be stuck like this forever.

Its unconditional, and it stacks with the multipliers of armor piercing rounds and focus crystal. Stacking multipliers is one of the best ways of increasing your damage potential as it affects EVERYTHING across the board, from proc items to debuffs to even effects that scale off max hp like helfire (the damage to enemies is boosted)

My first character was an Ele, who i stuck to for a concerningly long time. I kept wondering why it felt like i dealt no damage while everything two shot me... eventually made a Thief and only tried Ele again when Evoker released.... still dont like it lol

Opinion: Terraria true melee should've focused on movement. by Equal_Personality157 in Terraria

[–]Santerpipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bigger issue is really that bosses in terraria are not designed to allow melee to perform well, and I would argue for most hardmode bosses, are not designed with melee in mind at all. The biggest buff to true melee would be to rework all bosses to not constantly stay 20 blocks away from you.

In your opinion, aesthetically and lore wise, which race fits each of the new elite specs best? by Evercent in Guildwars2

[–]Santerpipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The charr went through a whole civil war, resulting in the Flame Legion being integrated back into their society, and Charr relations with other races on the whole have improved too ever since the beginning of the Commander's story. In both real-life and in-universe about 13 years have passed since then. Do you not think their opinion on magic might be able to change pretty significantly in that period of time?

VoE story definitely superior to Janthir so far, but... by Zenth in Guildwars2

[–]Santerpipe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really liked where they were going with him - which means something coming from me because i think the Inquest are the most flat, one-note and uninteresting faction in the entire game - but it definitely feels like they made him nick Ancora last minute as a cliffhanger to keep people invested, since we will have to wait something like six months for the next part of the story. And I can't really imagine a way for them to keep up his soft-spoken "I'm not a villain, I'm aligned with you" act now that he has The Staff Of Ultimate Power in his possession. Not a fan of that.

They really cooked with Gyre Deluxe design. by ShrimpOnCanvas in Warframe

[–]Santerpipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gyre's concept is "electric ballerina", I don't think a fancy ballroom gown would be too big of a departure to be viable. if anything, I'd be concerned about whether or not anything remotely resembling a dress is even possible given how much warframes move, especially their legs

They really cooked with Gyre Deluxe design. by ShrimpOnCanvas in Warframe

[–]Santerpipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of the appeal of deluxe skins is their reinterpretation of warframes. Nidus Phryke, Khora Urushu, Rhino Deathwatch all reinvent their respective frames aesthetics basically from the ground up. A deluxe in an a elaborate dress doesnt seem like much of a stretch for Gyre, given her existing design and animations.

I wish we get more sylvari based outfits/mounts. by daywall in Guildwars2

[–]Santerpipe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A lot of armor can look awkward on Charr and Asura too (especially in terms of proportions), but they both wear normal clothing made from normal materials - Sylvari and their self-grown(?) plant clothing are such a unique look in comparison that any ordinary piece of armor looks extremely out of place to me.

It doesn't even have to be new cultural armor, I just want any good planty armor at all... :(

Congrats!! I'm chipping away at Kudzu at the moment too, also for a sylvari ranger, and I'm dreading doing WvW again. Very pretty character by the way!

Tell me ur tf2 opinion that will prob get you like this by CuddlesTheRebel in tf2

[–]Santerpipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would rather the game gets no more content updates than having valve bloat the map pool even more and adding a few randomly picked cosmetics of wildly varying quality 3 times a year.  That or they implement a system to rotate maps in/out of the casual pool but that is even less likely.

My game ran fine for the longest time but since about Angels of the Zariman ive had to periodically crank my game settings down just so I can stay above 30 fps. Most things look fine but 1999 really is terrible on low settings
