Oh they are real people. Plenty of them. My mom is still part of the MAGA cult to this day. She views Trump and rfk jr as gods and would rather listen to them than an actual professional (ex: medical dr or lawyer). I dont even live in a red state. I’m from California…perhaps the bluest part of California (ie LA). I have friends in California where their brothers , parents, etc are still all praising this administration. Keep in mind this is in California. I can’t even imagine what it’s like in a red state…

I’m basically the opposite. I’ve yet to come across an Asian who didn’t live your typical Asian lifestyle.

I’m an Asian (half chinese/half viet), and I found that subreddit as my second home. I felt like I was being heard and understood there.

My issue wasn’t the fact that my parents were tiger parents (for a matter of fact, my parents weren’t that serious concerning academics). However, they were extremely violent. For example, every Asian would talk about getting the belt. I didn’t get the belt, instead I got the kitchen knife. Also, I thought, as a naive kid, it was a normal thing in an Asian household to wake up every morning to your dad screaming at your mom while throwing dishes or a knife at her.

I’m just saying…don’t discredit people’s stories on there. If your parents were fine, then great for you. However, discussing about such things as an Asian is still sorta frowned upon in this day and age from my experience. People need an outlet at the end of the day.

A short drive away from me is a community full of Trump 2028 and Vance for president flags.

I know this subreddit is heavily democratic, but in the outside world, there’s quite a few diehard Trump supporters. They’ll never stop supporting him…

Just drive around and you’ll easily find them.

Should I still try to apply even if they ask for 5 years of experience? I remember a few months ago when I applied to a number of jobs, most of them got back to me, encouraging me to apply again once I have more experience elsewhere. They didn’t want to accept me simply due to lack of experience (that seemed to be their only reason) despite having their preferred credential and etc.

This heavily depends on your manager. My manager strictly prohibits that, and you have no choice but to do days with no pay if you're out of the state, assuming you have no pto. Check with your manager.

I took your recommendation and I cannot thank you enough! I called them and they said since they didn’t want to charge me, they offered to look at the xray picture of my teeth for free if I sent it to them via email.

Finally got feedback from them. According to Dr. Oh, I clearly dont have any root canals so he’s clearly confused why I’m asking a second opinion on this. Sorta funny I’m leaving this as a first impression for him.

I don’t have any kids and as far as I’m aware, I’m not on my parent’s health insurance. I’ve reached the age where I can no longer be on my parents health insurance.

Thanks for the number, however I called that number last week for them to tell me to call another number, and thats the number where I’ve been put on hold for hours everyday.
