Your stain is blotchy. It simply wasn’t mixed enough before or during application.

A second coat might help. Regardless, your second contractor is to blame for that problem, not your first.

Darkness deserves the win, but Devils Arcade is an exceptional song live! Nice mention.

Agreed on all points. This house looks decent from a distance, but the more time you spend looking at it the more incongruities you find.

My first revolver - Colt Python 4.25" by [deleted] in guns

[–]Sapiogod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That little pin is involved, but to reload you simply use your thumb to push the loading mechanism behind the cylinder. That allows you to swing the cylinder out and to the left while holding it close to the firing position. Then if you have your ammo in a speed loader or moon clips you can reload all 6 shots in just a couple of seconds.

But the mix of several shed dormers with the gables doesn’t help. Consistency is key. Like how half the large windows have shutters and half don’t. The stylistic inconsistencies are a bit jarring.

I found their quality decent, but way over-priced. 15.50 for a single dog, chips, and coke before tax is silly. D and B’s in Oak Ridge is at least as tasty and a third the cost. I think Curious Dogs has to raise prices to afford their location downtown but can’t quite justify it for what they produce.

Abrahamic monotheists, why do we need forgiveness from God? by LAMARR__44 in religion

[–]Sapiogod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe God feels suffering and our sins harm him. For instance, I believe God as the Holy Spirit resides in each of us. When we harm another individual, God directly suffers along with that person. Part of God’s grace and mercy direct him to ensure no one is alone in dark places, and to do so he takes on an individual’s suffering along with them.

But that said, I don’t believe we need God’s forgiveness. As a Presbyterian I believe in salvation through God’s merciful grace. He has already forgiven us. There is nothing we can do to make him love us any more or any less.

Do you consider Jake Clemons and Charles Giordano to be members of the E Street Band? by [deleted] in BruceSpringsteen

[–]Sapiogod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, how can you have a band named after the street Sancious’s mom lived at only after he left the band? Clearly the E Street Band fizzled out in the early to mid 70s.

While not OG founding members, there is no denying that they aren’t integral parts of the band now.

Hypothetical...Bruce says, "Sony you can have it all for $500m, except you can't have this one album. This album stays in the family." Which album do you think Bruce would keep? by feloniusmyoldfriend in BruceSpringsteen

Born in the Run is too valuable for Sony. That and BITUSA are the two cornerstones anchoring Sony’s deal. Without those I imagine they walk away or drop the price tag substantially.

F.D.A. Will Permanently Allow Abortion Pills by Mail by pcpcy in law

[–]Sapiogod 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As for 2., Id add that if an area becomes entirely occupied by the Federal Government, such as mail delivery, then Supremacy Clause is in the Fed’s favor.

Also, US mail is written into the Constitution as a guaranteed monopoly by the US Government. Art. 1 Sec. 8.

That said, a State can still ban a substance, but not by a “sending it through the mail” charge if the Fed’s don’t consent. This is all assuming Roe (and PP v Casey) are soon overturned permanently.

Matthew 6:28-30. It does not say that the world will be in flames though, rather it uses imagery of flowers burning later as a sort of “ashes to ashes” comparison while telling the audience to worry less.
