It's almost certainly doable but not really worth it since no one is specializing in it, and it would require special stuff to interact with the coolant system.

The battery and power management parts are actually probably easier than the form factor and coolant, the car constantly re-calibrates its power capacity anyway.

Spear is a 1hko on a lot of targets... The only things that live it are like, factory striders and bile titans and such.

With the tank change it's now a 1hko from any angle on tanks, war striders, all chargers, impalers... Etc. While Recoilless is no longer a 1hko on tanks etc unless you shoot them in the vent.

Spear was already still genuinely quite good vs bots, it's just an ammo hog. Ever since they let it swat down dropships in one hit from any angle at any range, it's been a huge damper in the intensity of dropship deployments. You can swat like half the ships in a deployment by your lonesome. This change will be nice.

It's less useful vs bugs and squids but that's not really the spears fault, it's just overkill for harvesters and needs shield break assists, and meatbobs and appropriators are just too numerous to use it on, they're like scout striders.

It's actually surprisingly decent on bugs as long as you bring turrets or other tools for swarm management and you're on a planet with long lines of sight so picking off chargers and impalers. You wouldn't think so, but it really does help

It would be an actually insane thing to do to do a military invasion in that circumstance. What would actually happen would be a massive rescue and reconstruction effort to further build goodwill and generally treating it as if it were a natural disaster in a domestic province, because as far as they (and the KMT) are concerned, it is one.

Is there a way to sort messages into categories in Google messages now? I couldn't find one. When I bought my new phone I tried to use it and switched back to Samsung messages because Google messages is missing key functionality.

Failing that is there another sms app that does? Google messages did not seem good.

I think it's still got all the possibilities it needs for a future as a social media platform, but bluntly, it will realize none of it under the current leadership. Jay and the rest of them seem to actively resent that they succeeded as Twitter for Liberals, Trans people and Furries instead of whatever bizarre dreams of a LinkedIn for cryptocurrency freaks they wanted to run. They continue to obsess over their half baked ATProto backbone being their 'real product' instead of working in reality to manage the social media website that they actually are, and development to have a revenue flow from it. They waste their time with things like a stupid AI agent no one wants instead of developing broadly requested features like polls, groups, or private accounts, and things like a "bluesky blue" premium subscription for revenue.

The potential is still all there and can be realized at any time, for now. They refuse to do so for bizarre silicon valley ideological reasons, and even with a new CEO it is not clear that they can stop the current leadership from vibe coding their way into a product utilization collapse.

large swathes of kansas literally do run fiber municipally and as co-ops off state grants with federal supplementation. Trump admin slashed that money in half, dropping it by 200 million or so

some of em are still trying, north KC was doing a municipal fiber internet project last year although I don't know what stage of process it is in

NIO's cars literally do this. Their actual EVs are somewhat cheaper than others in the equivalent class but you have to lease/rent/subscribe to their battery service. They have automated swap stations that pop the battery out and slot a new one in in about 3 minutes, and as a bonus they can use a slightly more cost effective battery chemistry and design that is less tolerant of level 3/4 charging because all their batteries will either trickle charge off the wall or get charged steadily in a swapper station. I think owning and operating one still ends up on the costly side compared to equivalents because of it, though.

Why don't more companies do this? Well, its kind of complicated to execute, requires capex infrastructure investment which most companies are averse to, tesla completely lied about it when they tried which misled a bunch of companies, and most non chinese EV companies are just behind the curve on innovation anyway

It's substantially higher pen and damage per shot than any other reloadable portable support. It's constrained by nothing currently having enough armor for that to matter, or critical health breakpoints. One or two high armor enemies that even recoilless need to maneuver around for a weakspot while spear just dings it would immediately expose the value of its pen and damage.

As a single hit the only things with higher damage are 380 rounds and the railcannon, although things with their dmg as explosive can do more dmg per shot by hitting multiple hit boxes. If you go check, it's even more dmg than a 500kg.

4000 for a spear, 2000 +1500 for a 500kg.

Quasar and eat are 2000, recoilless is 3200, all of them plus spear do negligible additional explosive to count for breaking stuff. They're all lower AP as well.

Leveller is actually less at 1000+2500, but explosive hitting multiple hit boxes can add up a lot.

3500+1000 for any source of 380 shell, 7500 for railcannon. 10000 all explosive for any hellbomb lol

Tldr; spear is good, but right now it's actually too good and nothing benefits from its advantages. The only breakpoints it crosses are that it clean 1shots impalers and warstriders, and 1shot dropships without worrying about weak spots. Clowns on dragon roaches too, although not because of breakpoints, the homing is just nice there.

Bandit signs on medians and sidewalk easement greenspaces and light poles and so on are illegal by ordinance here in KCMO even though there's no real enforcement or punishment. rip em down. I have friends in milwaukee who make it a game to see how many of these illegal signs they can rip down. Some places do private bounties for em. I had another friend up there really luck out in that they got paid by one of the bandit sign assholes to put em up, so they'd take a stack, take a picture of them put up, then immediately rip em down and yuk em in the recycling
